I'm looking at my blog labels again. I want a functioning label system.
Let me introduce something new to you.
I put off doing it last year but today I've finished it. The masterlist post. Alas, no more pending drafts! Since I'm in the mood to do it, might as well finish it today before I erm... aban-no.. procrastinate again.
Digest Posts
A digest post where I gave brief updates to some posts from that year.
2021: Jan-May, Jun-Dec
A post that's like an FAQ of some kind... Most recent post has more questions.
2009's | 2021's
Feb 5th, 2005 - Day I started blogging online (old blog)
Not much progress on my labels at this moment. Added some new ones but I haven't rename the old ones which I don't want anymore.
Photobucket problems had haunted my blog again. Following a comment in this post, I realised my blog template was being weird. The funny thing was I couldn't see it in Chrome until I opened my blog in Chrome's incognito mode (also tried it in Opera & IE with same results) that I saw that some images didn't load properly. I was mortified. It looks like those images didn't work well with Google Photo. Had to reupload them elsewhere to make it work.
And because my blog uses old template, I had to manually add the cookies notice thing.
Editing the template html really made me feel like I'm back to blogging haha. Honestly, I wanted to cry whenever something doesn't work. I forgot that the jump link thing doesn't work anymore (and I can't add the codes manually) so I ended up using the hide/reveal feature in the "A Short Photo Log" post, which worked fine. (That was such a fun feature I need to use it more!)
I also started embedding tumblr posts (it's convenient nowadays because Tumblr got it ready)... I feel like whatever I posted or reblogged on Tumblr gets buried down in my Tumblr so embedding some of the memorable ones here might bring light to them again.
Probably going to edit my "About Me" section to something that reflects the current me.
About Me (as of 17/12/2019)I still think they are correct (to some extent) but recently I've been thinking if someone asked me "What are you?" I will answer them, "An alien." So.. yeah. I got weirder, stranger and a bit more anti-social.
I'm predictably unpredictable, inconsistent, random & eccentric. Sometimes arrogant and silly. Always curious. Read that again without the snobbish tone.
Don't go printing out my posts in colour and bring it up on a meeting as an attempt to shame me. -Me, 2019
I'm teaching?
I'm healing?
"I'm so happy that I'm able to see her get married, now I can die in peace."Sigh. This is a dangerous sentence (especially after I mentioned about having mild suicidal thoughts in an earlier post) but I assure you it was said in a nonchalant way. I feel like I can go on. It's weird that a wedding made me think like that but the positive vibes got to me.
I'm revamping?

Random Photos… ‘Yesterday’.
If you don’t know what to read next, try selecting books randomly.
Though sometimes I end up not reading them.
*Lol. That was lame!*

Instead of choosing October or December, I chose November as my NaBloPoMo month. I’m totally new to this but there’s always first-times for anything! Hopefully, I’m doing it right. Why November? Hmm… It’s actually a part of my BoP plan which I’ll blog about later after I thought deeply of the matter. Anyway… I thought it’s a good way to get to know other bloggers around the world (I do read some of those on the blogroll). It’s also a way to bring more readers here… though I don’t really have much to offer other than the stories of my life and my opinions. But I love the NaBloPoMo site, it’s a really nice place for bloggers to get together and discuss about blogging. I haven’t participate much on the site though (commenting etc), but I plan to do so during my semester break.
Also, starting from this post, I’m using a new kind of commenting system. DISQUS. Other than being attracted to the comment form interface, I had always wanted a comment system that enable readers to use their Twitter account to comment.
Twitter and tweeting… I still do it daily and recently I dragged another friend of mine to tweet! She had a good start… though she was a few weeks late to follow Miley Cyrus. Oh yeah. That name reminded me of something I just read yesterday. Apparently a fan of hers (or several? I didn’t take time to read through the original site) threatened to eat her/his cat, Fuzzy, if Cyrus doesn’t return to Twitter. My first reaction was this. Nasty, nasty fan(s). And bad influence. Sorry, @Neylev if you’re reading this. I’m really not a fan of hers. If she brings such influence (animal cruelty?) to her fans then it’s better if she stay away from Twitter. Anyway. I’m more concerned of the cat actually and I don’t blame Cyrus entirely for this.. the fan(s) should’ve thought of better ways to reach out to her if they have brains to think.
Leaving that pathetic issue aside… What do you think of re-tweeting someone whose twitter account is private/protected? I do RT some of my friends when they tweeted something interesting and suits my current thoughts. But one of those cool tweets belong to a friend with a private account. Evan Williams (Twitter CEO)’s tweeted :
| What if the protected tweets are about something very important that I think the world should also know about it? |

I’m trying this out for this post. For a starter, the first thing I realise after I installed it - I’m typing my post as if I’m typing it directly in my blog. Cool!

My [online] shopping bag! Just received them this week!
“Koi no ABO” was released a few months ago but I got it later because my sister pre-ordered YUI’s single “again” (which is just released this month). The other one is self-explanatory – USB drive, 2gb, June 2nd – haha!

I’m tired of facing my driving tutor… so I MUST pass the next test!!!

For the time being, UPU result :

...I accidentally clicked on IE7 in the quicklaunch menu. I actually seldom use IE. I f I'm not using Google Chrome, I would be using Opera (prefers Opera to Firefox). But we have all the other three installed anyways in this computer my family uses - each family members use different internet browser. Okay. Back to the story. So I accidentally opened IE. Suddenly a thought hit me - "Why not see my blog in IE?"
I forgot that sometimes how you see your blog might not be what other people see in their internet browser.
Imageshack dead links removed.
It looks perfectly in all browsers except IE. It seems that the
ul code I'm using in my sidebar is not working in IE. The random quote works though (although the appearance is different). Weird. Too lazy to find out why it's happening...
I love this layout! I've been modifying this since 2 weeks ago in a test blog and now it's officially used. Using layouts are surprisingly convenient once you're are familiar with the codes... One noticeable thing I've done is the labels near the post title. Because this layout originally doesn't show the year the post was made, I see the need to put labels there so that I'll know from which year it was right away. Another thing I've added (and like so much) is the random quotes in the sidebar. I didn't know how to implement that in my 'old template' blog but it's easy when I'm using layout. Oh, yeah. Currently I'm reading Emma... but I'm progressing slowly... It seems that I'm not interested enough to read on whether Emma's matchmaking will succeed. But I'm just in the beginning, so it's too early to back out... Besides I've started to like Mr Knightley. I'm always drawn to read more when his name comes up on the page.

Here's a post dedicated to these sources who and which made this blog a blog.
Firstly, the layout. It's a wordpress template converted to blogger xml by Falcon Hive (you can find other beautiful templates like this in his site). This template name is Color Paper.
Modifications done to the layout.
From annie's site BlogU, I've used (or referred to) these for this blog...
- The Expand/Collapse feature in my posts
- Pretty Blockquotes. I referred to this to edit the css for
quotethat I used for my "favourite quotes" appearance. And following that I used similar css code for thea:hoverin the sidebar.
"Random quotes generator" by Ramani at Hackosphere.
That's "favourite quotes" in the sidebar. I initially tried the one from annie's but I got lost when trying to edit the appearance of the quotes.
"Label Cloud" & "Feeling Lucky" (random post) by phydeaux3.
Light Box widget (an image hack) for Blogger by Max.
I added "Reactions" to blog posts by using code from here.
Divided the "featured" part to two columns. One for my latest tweets & the other for bloglist that shows updates from my other sites. Modified some code I saw from here.
---
As for the "labels" part in posts... I referred to this site to find the codes for labels. Actually I found pieces of information from everywhere but I found this site most useful to my intentions. I know there's many sites that can tell you which code is for what... but I don't have all day to search for all that. Anyway, I also found out how to modify the "comments" section from there.
edit Nov 12th, 2009: Changed my comment system. I'm using Disqus for newer posts.
I also used their "Recent Posts Widget."
edit Jun 29th, 2009: Stopped using this for a while cos I can't find a place to host the .js file. I'm using the simple feed gadget (Read from here) to show my 5 recent posts. I'll miss using the beautifulbeta version though.
---
I learnt how to customize my twitter badge from Amanda on Blogger Buster.
In Oct 2012, my tweets stopped appearing. Apparently, the url for the API was changed (?)... the new url is like this (as posted by @quantitsearch here...)
https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/youraccountname.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=4---
Starting from March 29th 2012, I changed the language my blog template uses to Japanese. For convenience, I renamed the navigation links at the end to "Previous-Home-Next" instead of the original name in japanese. I used this site as my reference.
----
QR code was created from using KAYWA's QR code generator. I saved the image & uploaded to my own virtual space.
----
I'm using Kaomoji since 19-Sept-2019. In the process of replacing in all blog posts that use smilies/emoticons images. ガン(゚д゚)ガレ
The site I'm using is Kaomoji Station (japanese).
Tuzki Bunny is officially my favourite emoticon! You can find more (& newer) here. [dead link!]
---
Cookie consent code: From here. First saw it here.
Learnt how to customise the Followers widget from here.
Actually it's only one font.
This morning, I was surprised to see this blog almost all in italic. The weird thing was it's italized in Google Chrome, Opera and IE while it's in bold in Firefox. I thought I left some tags open in my templates but that wasn't it.
Then I searched for this. The closest solution I found was about a "core-font" went missing. So, I did accordingly to the sites I'd found - I looked for "Arial", "Verdana" & "New Times Roman"... all there.. they are not missing.
I have 4 blogs and this thing only affects 3 of them. Then suddenly it occured to me.
I'm using much "Trebuchet MS" in these 3 blogs.
Ah. Trebuchet MS!
*Went to the laptop and drag-n-drop the font file*
*installed the font*
And the problem just disappeared like that.
Hmm.
I guess that...
When you have this problem., remember what font your are using for your blogs, websites, application..etc. Then look for it in Fonts (Control Panel > search "fonts"; BTW, I'm using vista) to confirm that it's there.
If it's not, some solution I read said it's available with Windows CD (the recovery CD). Or you can just drag-n-drop (I can't copy the font file so I drag-n-drop it at the desktop and d-n-d again in my pen drive) from a computer that uses the same operating system.
Learnt something new again!
A continuation post from Blabbers #1 : Post too long?
I've finally solved it!!!
*SIGH*
I can finally post a longer post! Although I think there's still limit to that.
Check out this post, it's very long but it looks okay!
I found something that could help here. I'm not skilled enough to deal with the CSS so I just took the advice - I made the image "taller"! I think this could cause the page to load longer though... It took me a long time to figure out the right "tall"...
Yokatta!!!
Also, I found a way to deal with the blockquote thing. (And it's not only blockquote that causes the problem but also when I added images... the links and the text/paragraph after that would also be "deformed"...)
Ha. Until someone told me the right way to do this, I've settled down using this code
< P CLEAR=LEFT > put after blockquote/image...< /p > for the paragraph (or whatever)... It does work for me.
Self-talk #2
I was looking at the archives for my old blog (yeah, I haven't deleted it) last night.
Three years of blogging amounted to 100++ posts (I know it's not much)...
Is it wise to move *some* of the posts to this new blog?
After all, these 2 blogs reflect my thoughts... I shouldn't "just throw away" the old one just because there's many unpleasant memories in it, right?
I'm still going to handpick post which I want to re-post here though.
Some...was...erm...inappropiate to look at again.
Hmmm... I think the main reasons for "moving" these posts are so that whoever reads my blog can see the "before/after" of Ru.Ru and also for me to reflect myself over this 3-4 years...
So many "..."
What the heck.

Ha, 1st blabber post.
I'm a virgoan. But I won't say that I'm a highly-organized person because my room can be as messy (but not too much) as Nodame's room. Random-ness #1... Blabbers #1? Haha... I've given them numbers so that I can keep track how many random-ness and blabbers have I posted. It's kind of organized to be labelled/categorized that way.. As this blog is just, what, 2 months old?, I might as well make it all organized early. Hmmm. *Maybe that's where my perfectionism is.*
I know my previous post was very long but I didn't realise that it affected the appearance of the post. It seems separated (can't find another word to describe it) in the middle near the blockquote part.
I removed the long quote I made and it returned to its normal look. Then I add a thumbnail image and there it went again. Lastly, I settled down with just an url to the image... I'll keep in mind to avoid making my posts too long. Huh. That means I have to make it into parts if I talk too much in a post.
And the "highlighted" links aren't highlighted all the time. It seems to be related with how the url looks like, whether it ends with a .com, .html or etc... There must be a technical reason on the net to this, but I'm to lazy to find out... Well, if someone who knows happened to drop by, please leave a comment about the reason...
edit: It seems that the links problem only occur after I used blockquote... Oh, boy... I think I can't use much blockquote in the middle of my post anymore.. except if it's in the end of the post, of course...

# Miscellaneous :blog
What more can it be about? Any posts that is blog-related (like this one) are under here. "b" is not capitalized because I don't consider this label as important as the other labels I made.
blog images
Since the Photobucket Apocalypse (and extra thanks to my procrastination *BIG SIGH* for finally cleaning up the mess in my blog in the year 2019), I'm going to label any posts with images with this to make them easier to find.
Old Blog
Chosen posts from my old blog that are reposted to this new blog.
online quiz
Posts on (or contained) results I got from online quizzes I'd taken.
Reviews
Link to a separate blog for my reviews. Also posts with short (and maybe one-shot) reviews on anything.
Quotes
Posts that include quotes (with sources). I'm still thinking if I should include the ones where I quote my old posts or not (most probably not).
Translated
Posts that included things I'd translated or romanized...
---
# Events :1st Post
1st Post refers to first post posted in this blog and also posts that were posted on the first day of a month. May also include the first day of the year and my birthday.
Birthday
Posts mentioning birthdays or "How was my birthday?" posts.
Death
Erm... I don't feel like describing this.
Exam, Exam {Semester?}, Piano Exam
Exam-related posts. About preparations done or my exam experiences.
NaBloPoMo
Posts done on a NaBloPoMo month.
Shopping Bag
A label where I can rant about what I shopped online... or off-line.
Weddings
Posts with Wedding stories or my thoughts on it.
---
# Knowledge :Courses
Posts related to courses I'm taking or I'd taken in university.
Form 6
I chose Form 6 over 2 years matriculation and UPU offer (Computer Science)... This label must exists. Posts under this are my stories, experiences, thoughts etc during my Form 6 days.
Learning French Language
I'm learning French at my university. Learning a new language is fun and special so it deserves a label of its own.
Learning to Drive
Posts labeled with this talked about adventures in obtaining my driving licence.
Piano
I've started learning to play the piano again since year 2008. Any posts with this label are about songs I'm playing on the piano or my thoughts on learning piano as an adult student.
School
Posts related to events in school.
University
Having entered university a year later than my peers... there's just many things I've just discovered need to be blogged about.
---
# Moods :Angry
Sorry. Had to vent that anger in my blog sometimes...
Forty Winks and More
Posts on sleep problems
In Arrogant Mode
Once in a while you'll see my arrogant side in posts labeled with this.
No Mood
This label speaks for itself. Usually a label I use with Monday [Blues] posts.
What is Sleep Anyway?
Posts where I didn't have enough sleep/pulled an all-nighter
---
# Personal :Blog Meme
You know what I like about these blog memes? They can reveal (a bit) about the personality of the blogger. It helps readers to understand what kind of person is this blogger.
Checklist
An experimental label actually. Checklist is more like short-term (or rather, month-long) goals I've set for myself.
Cringy Teenage Years
I love re-reading my old posts and I always end up asking myself "WHO ARE YOU?". Looking back at them again in 2019: I decided to give posts from 2005-2008 this label to remind anyone who stumble on those posts that "I posted that during this phase!" Why not delete them you say? They are part of my life and how I became to be what I am today so as cringy as they are *shivers*, I'm going to let them stay.
Delayed Rebellious Phase (Cringeworthy)
Same as "Cringy Teenage Years" but for posts from 2009-2013. I think most are fine...? but I cringed a lot reading them again while I edit the broken photobucket images in this blog so I'm giving emphasis on the cringeworthy part.
Family
Posts which mentions about my family or relatives.
Friends
Posts which mentions about my friends or just thoughts on friendship.
Interest
Posts under this label are related to my hobbies or anything I fancy of...
Life
Posts with everything to do with what happened in my life or what I think about life. (or rather about someone I have opinions on...)
Me.
Posts about me...or my past.
Personal Photos
Posts with personal photos (mostly childhood photos).
Reminiscences
Posts about past posts. Or the usual reminiscences things...
---
# Thoughts and Opinions :Blabbers
Non-sensical, out-of-blue, "huh?" talks are under this category. This category exists because when some thoughts come across my mind, even small things that will not matter much to me in the future, I need to let it out, just to make myself better. In short, it's mostly ignorable posts.
Self-talk
It's me talking to myself. I don't hope for someone to read it because I think it can be nasty in the future.
Random-ness, at random, Nonsense
When I talk about different things which may be related or non-related to each other in a single post, I put it under any of these labels. Mostly are my opinions, which is what makes it differs from a "Blabbers" post. New label used recently : "at random" and "Nonsense".
Thoughts
Related to Random-ness. A few Thoughts = Random-ness.
---

Hyouka - The correct(?) name for the series is the Kotenbu series but I opted for Hyouka because that's how I get to know about series (through the anime).
Last Boss Queen - "Higeki no Genkyou to Naru Saikyou Gedou Last Boss Joou wa Tami no Tame ni Tsukushimasu." or "The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen". Usually shortened to "Last Tame" in Japanese.
