Did just realised it's the same day for release of Wuthering Waves 3.1 update lol (I guess that at least means I have something to say today)...

Tiny WuWa Update: Well, not much to update since I regularly do that lol anyways~ Ah... I can talk about today's...? Unfortunately, I lost my 50/50 to Jianxin (damn she's S3 now lol)... and since I had enough (kinda), I continued until I got Aemeath.
I haven't checked but it was definitely near 60ish pulls... Her signature weapon will have to wait next rerun (T_T)

Also, isn't it amazing how every year I tell myself I'll listen more and I ended up doing the opposite...?

Not exactly my age but pretty close, I guess XD. Don't really get what's popular nowadays so I prefer to stick to the ones I'm familiar with.

So we finally get the exact place this year XD

Ohno made it to the Top 5 this year XD... I do have an Ohno-centric playlist (which of course included his solo/unit songs) which I indulge in from time to time.

Ooh the only new song here is "Against the Tides". First heard it on the video "Dawn Arrives" (which is a WuWa story cinematics that I consider have completely overshadowed Cartethyia's resonator showcase :P). Very haunting song.

It's a bit surprising to see an Ura Ura Best album on the top but it's a very me move I guess XD

"Let's Go!!!"

...was what I say in the afternoon AFTER I'm done with what I had to do *sigh*

I'm pretty much in introverted(?), procrastinating mode this week. Had to renew my library card so I sent my form online last Saturday. You have to go your chosen library branch within a week to pay the fee. I'd been procrastinating going out to do that since Monday. Didn't get a new card though, they just update it in the system. The whole thing was pretty much done in like 10 minutes.

Anyway, it's February 5th! It's the 20th anniversary of me blogging!!!

I guess the post title IS perfect for today! LET'S GO!!!

Here's to more blogging in the future! And I totally don't mean that by more blog posts... I guess just... just keep blogging... something. Oh well.

Tower of Adversity

29/30 again. Got totally lazy about it lol... I also need to get a new echo set for my Spectro Rover (this lady can totally handle the higher floors now, damn!). The new ToA is a month long so I might probably get 30/30...??? Also heard that it's easier(?) so... big maybe?

Never thought I could get this trophy lol (all thanks to Spectro Rover!)

Echo Farming
It finally dawned on me that with almost half of my resonators at level 90, I'm embarking on the "life" of echo farming... I'm getting used to it. Honestly though, getting the echoes isn't so bad. I just don't like not having enough materials to level them up *sigh*. I really hope they add a way to get echo xp only.

Companion Stories
Oooh I finished both Carlotta & Roccia's! I enjoyed both although I kinda have a soft spot for Roccia's (it's related to her trailer). It also solidifies my distaste for the Order again (there's also a bit of their involvement in Carlotta's story but hers focus more on their family matters).

I love Pero, she's so adorable XD

My Fenn account managed to get her (guaranteed, lost 50/50 to Lingyang). I'm pulling for her in my main account but I'm expecting a loss (which I've been getting a lot recently).

Others

Finally got the Tiger trophy for my RuRu account lol

My alternate accounts got them easy because I already suffered in my main account *sigh*

#SpotifyWrapped and YT's Gaming Recap

Honestly, I feel like I've been listening to music on Spotify even less this year lol

7th Time Loop anime opening theme song.
I'm very obsessed with the bridge before the chorus - it's very addicting - I just want to listen to that part again and again XD

If I remember correctly, the top songs were pretty much from the first half of 2024... "The Legend of ShenLi" instrumental opening theme made into Top 5 XD. Also, 7th Time Loop anime's ending theme... what's amazing about this is... I haven't even finish watching both shows lol

I feel like I need to explain "Romantic Love Song"... Apparently it was from the time I've been listening to Westlife's albums in February haha

Well, I don't know why Shonen is mentioned there lol (probably one of the anime theme songs I was listening trigger this?) - that's like my least favourite genre of manga. I just don't like how long and harem-y they can get sometimes.
[I'll still read/watch them if the story is interesting but I most probably will be out/DNF when the big boobies appear 😑]

"Atmospheric Fantasy Soundtrack" is thanks to Wuthering Waves soundtracks :P

Honestly, I thought this would change seeing how little I've been listening but now I'm glad to know it's still them

Reading Schedule Generator! There was a period that I didn't use it... then when I got lazy about printing it, I just wrote the schedule down somewhere XD. I think the last time I was using it was to help with avoiding reading slumps (lol) until I started using the ReadMore app again. The app has its own reading schedule feature so I guess that means I still use one? XD

I don't use it for every book I read but currently I do use one for "Leviathan Wakes"....

Anime

--- Still kind of in a watching slump, but I'm trying to watch a few of them (the ones I've read before)... it's a slow progress *sigh*

Games

--- I've been watching some of John Wolfe's playthrough on his JohnTwolfe channel... I enjoyed watching his Dredge playthroughs! I think that kind of got me back to wanting to read some H. P. Lovecraft stories (Thanks, John! Although I haven't started reading it... XD). He just started playing Stray so I'm excited to follow that one next! He's also playing Lethal Company with his friends & it was fun chaos :P

--- I am still interested in doing a Mass Effect Weekend thing but I need to think more about how I'm doing it.

--- Currently I'm obsessed with this one track from Strawberry Night movie OST

--- I'm noticing a weird thing in this blog's stats page (I think I'm getting some of those spam clicks?). If it gets out of hand I might make this blog private for a while.

Reading

--- Reading is... sufficient(?) at this moment. I'm reading just enough. "Leviathan Wakes" is surprisingly a comfortable read so far (considering the stuff happening in the story), I'm enjoying it so far! I'm also reading "Death Notice" and I like the mystery~

--- Recently, I've been reading "For My Derelict Favorite" (Thus, post title = Female lead's name). It started from the manhwa and now to the fan-translated web novel. I seriously need to know how it ends! The antagonist is a good [quality] villain. She's not exactly the cockroach kind (I thought of using praying mantis b*tch, since she's a saintess but maybe not... since FL called her queen bee... so... Queen Bee B*tch??) I love how FL uses QBB own beliefs against the Queen B*tch herself (wait, am I missing a word? :P). I can't wait to read more!!!

To be honest, kind of surprised with Yuuki Hayashi there but that's probably because I regularly listened to Strawberry Night OST while I was reading "The Silent Dead" and "Soul Cage" (notice how high it was for both January and February)

Found a short web novel today. It had a rough beginning (toxic stepmother and bad stepsister) but I think I laughed most of it because the male lead (a duke this time, for a change) made a contract (that involved a spirit) wanting nothing to do with the wife he's marrying. If she tries to seduce him into bed (=breaks the contract), she'll be cursed. MC is fine with that. The duke isn't. The contract thing was not done according to his wishes (it was his aides' doings, they thought MC is bad), and MC happens to be his long-lost childhood love... so you see... he'll want to break that contract XD -- yeah I was laughing my meanest laugh, waiting for him to realise that muahaha... Fortunately, he's not the one who came up with the contract idea because the contract sounds so terrible... Even if MC was okay with it and even praised how "good" it was/it didn't have any loopholes.

Oh, I feel like I can accomplish more things today 'cos I finished a book...! :P

So... I did a reread of "The Devotion of Suspect X" this year. My thoughts pretty much remain the same as last year's but some other things I want to mention...

Tsutsumi-san as Ishigami: He's too good-looking for the character XD
Kudo is like someone who couldn't read the room (oh you sweet summer child-man...). Oof it got a bit awkward near the end, huh. Anyway this character is supposed to be more good-looking than Ishigami but I think he's just normal-looking in the [Japanese] movie. Which isn't really a problem... the main point of the movie is Tsutsumi-san's acting!
I'm talking about the looks because they are mentioned several times in the book. It's inevitable that it's different in the movie but I don't think it change things much anyway...
a random, throwaway thought: I don't know why, to me, it seems like the person who is on the receiving end of someone's devotion usually doesn't deserve the love bestowed to them and that makes stories with this kind of love always a sad (if not tragic) one...

Been listening more to this song ("Sai'ai", also used as post title) while I finish the book (I actually like his version more for some reason):

Not going to pick a new book from the jar today. I'm pretty much still in a [physical books] reading slump so I'm going to make it easy for myself. There are five weeks for this month anyway so it should be okay to do it on the the second and fourth weeks...

Dull

My life is being "controlled" by those hormones again.
Which explains the recent mood swings(?). And the lack of sleep. And the irritability.

Going to try finish a [physical] book tonight. While listening to Nicholas Teo's songs. Because it feels like that kind of night.

Oh yeah. Didn't drink any coffee yesterday and I suffered the whole night for it *sigh*. Had a mild, dull headache and lying down didn't make it feel better...

I'm annoyed by fictional characters

Today I am reminded again of how bad I am at DNF-ing things. *sigh*

Should've stop reading that isekai manga. I was curious of how it ends but... you know, it's not even because of the lacklustre ending, I just hate how the last part went. I'm probably most disappointed in the main character. The sequel has some interesting stuff there but the main character was disappointing from the start. Why do I even bother... ((￣ ^ ￣　)

This nasty aftertaste after reading those two has somewhat ruined my day haaah~~~~

Another day for managing my Spotify playlists, I guess...

Too slow.

Some stuff on Youtube are still too slow today. Had to use that 2x speed option :P.

Haaah how do one deal with this impatience??? I feel like snapping at someone because I'm very irritable today. Haven't tried it yet but maybe knitting while going through my Watch Later playlist on Youtube will help? Interestingly, I'm okay with listening to music so I guess I'll spend more time with my Spotify playlists today.. I can also let the music play in the background while I watch some videos...

So... I finished "Heroes and Villains" today. ~~F*ck.~~

I think the pacing was good so without realising it I finished the book in the afternoon lol.. Ahh but the story... isn't easy. *sigh* Quite nasty really, and weird. Weird relationship dynamics. Some parts shocked me because of the casual way it was told (I had to re-read it after having a "WHAT?!" moment).

For now, I'm interested in reading her other books.

Also, no no, I don't think I finish the book to overcompensate(?) for yesterday.

By the way, I found the web novel version (on Syosetu) of "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent"... What do you mean I shouldn't read it??? I totally will read it! Maybe after I read the light novel (or in tandem?? How crazy will that be? Just because I don't want to start from the beginning again later *it's tiring*)~ ~~I wanna see Sei and Albert as a couple~~

Anime

Loving "My Home Hero" so far (I love that I recognised Suwabe-san's voice instantly in #1 lol). Probably because I don't watch a lot of anime that's like this.

Moods

Been in a weird Nicholas Teo songs mood recently. Maybe hormone-related (haha). I keep listening to his songs lately while I play games (so imagine killing aliens to those ballad songs XD). His voice feels just right for my current mood.
DNF-ing more Youtube videos today. I know I should do the same for books but man it feels more empowering(?) when I'm in control of my Watch Later playlist (just got it under 30 videos today..)
Also, I've been in a weird binge phase for Hanae Natsuki's gaming videos since last month (especially the ones he did with his friends. And Ono Kensho XD).

One of My favourite Colours

Used to be my one and only favourite colour (which changed accordingly to fandoms lol) but who says you can only have one favourite colour??? These past few years, it's back to being one of my favourite colours. Favourite shades are mood-dependent but recently (as in after Covid started), it's mint green :P

Japanese Genmaicha Latte

Tried a couple of drinks from ZUS Coffee (via FP of course lol) recently and I'm obsessed with this! Love the smell of brown rice mixed with matcha~

Green-eyed Monster

Because I'm only human, there will be moments where I will feel envy of someone or something(?)... I try not to dwell too long with them though because I'm the one who will be sick (literally got a headache once lol). It's more like I acknowledge it and sweep the feeling under the rug. Out of sight, out of mind :P

This can also refers to my FemShep in Mass Effect games that always have green eyes because I want her to XD (she can be a monster sometimes too lol)

Aqua Green

I've always call these shade of blues and/or greens this since little. I guess I don't really have a specific shade as favourite because I'm a fan of all of them (okay, maybe sometimes more for turquoise but that's not the point now). I just love that they feel like bluish green, greenish blue and both sometimes... and it works perfectly for me because blue is also one of my favourite colours.
