Continued reading "Heaven's Shadow" last night and urgggh I'm still so mad bored with it. I kept cursing internally while I read it. I want to try finishing it today/tomorrow because I just can't wait for it to be over. DNF? No way! I'll get to the end so that I can rate it on GR!

Happy to report that I finished reading "The Trouble with Mr Darcy" today!!! Aaaaahhh I'm tired~~~ So- no, too many words~~~ This book is released before "Miss Darcy Falls in Love" (which I read first) so it was kind of cool to meet the main character from that one in this. Like you're reading from another side or something. Unfortunately, the whole book is like a fanfiction with too many fillers - I don't mind some fanfics that have them but it was very tiring to read this.

I don't hate it enough to give 1 star though... but I'll round down my rating (I usually round up) on Goodreads.  

Made a big progress with "The Trouble with Mr Darcy", thanks to yesterday. I kind of got used to the book already... Cringe? What are you talking about? *self-denial*.. Ah but I still hate the smell of the paper...

Two hours of darkness... no sign of the power coming back yet. Again, it's fortunate that it's a cold night (because of all the raining in the afternoon).. I'm here just chilling out... with books. It's not scary when you get used to the darkness (and I can only say that because I have other sources of light XD).

Ate dinner in the dark while reading "The Trouble with Mr Darcy". Had a few giggles when the parts I read turn out to be sexy times scenes lol... It feels ridiculous to read them while eating (ah I just want to laugh again typing this out). 

Of course, I would prefer watching some videos in my Watch Later playlist but since the internet (mobile/hotspot) is unstable I don't think I can rely on that alone for entertainment.

#1 More Annoyed Than Expected

Started watching some of the new anime for this season... they are fine so far. Also included, SAFT... oof I'm still annoyed by the main character. Like grrrrh. Am I going to make it until the end? Hearing her talk with 2x speed on Youtube is even more annoying. How do you follow a story that you're kind of curious about but don't want to see any of the main character's scenes??? I guess there is that option to read but why would I do something that takes even more effort?

I find "Midnight in Austenland" interesting. It feels like it's written differently from "Austenland". Maybe it's because of the main character's personality...? Hmm 

Why do I always care about the villains... (T__T) 

I had an easy and fun time finishing the fifth volume but I don't think I would have similar experience with my other physical books *sigh*. I guess it's fine really... it's fine to not read them if you're not in the mood... Honestly, I probably need to do something else other than reading, maybe that will help with the reading slump...

Finished volume 4 today though! The only physical book I care to read at this moment, apparently. Was a bit surprised that the arc at the end of the anime took two volumes! Started volume 5 straightaway because that felt like the right thing to do after finishing the previous volume.  

Also made some progress with "Heaven's Shadow"... this was... oof. Haaaah, I really don't care about what is happening so it has lost me in the introduction part. Maybe I'm just not a fan of the way its written. Tempted to DNF it because I have web novels and manga other things to read~

It's a hot day today as well. 

I tried looking for the thing I mentioned yesterday (amidst the heat!) and still couldn't find it. Might try again later.

Currently I'm reading first volume of "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent" light novel and I'm happy to report(?) that Albert being smooth(?) at courting Sei is just as what is seen on the anime version. GAAAAH I LOVE IT SO MUCH 

Anyway, the usual zombie mode in progress. It's really hard to recall things today. I don't feel patient too which is kind of discomforting, like I can't sit still for stuff I usually can. 

Here's hoping I'll survive the day~ 

So... I finished "Heroes and Villains" today. F*ck.

I think the pacing was good so without realising it I finished the book in the afternoon lol.. Ahh but the story... isn't easy. *sigh* Quite nasty really, and weird. Weird relationship dynamics. Some parts shocked me because of the casual way it was told (I had to re-read it after having a "WHAT?!" moment). 

For now, I'm interested in reading her other books. 

Also, no no, I don't think I finish the book to overcompensate(?) for yesterday. 

By the way, I found the web novel version (on Syosetu) of "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent"... What do you mean I shouldn't read it??? I totally will read it! Maybe after I read the light novel (or in tandem?? How crazy will that be? Just  because I don't want to start from the beginning again later *it's tiring*)~ I wanna see Sei and Albert as a couple

Oh yeah, I also finished a book today (yay!). "Deadlocked" was only okayish to so-so for me. I don't follow the series but I read a review on GR by someone who do (I think) and I relate most to their views.. so I guess I did okay. In figuring out the plot, I mean. Basically there's a mystery and it got solved in the end. Didn't really like any of the characters though - no one stood out - and the main character is just eh to me.

As of now (it's almost 10.30pm), the water is still not back... *sigh*it might be due to low pressure.. You know it's kind of hard to tell which one it is until you have dry faucets. The water outside is brown in the evening though so I'm kind of hopeful for early morning tomorrow.

It's kind of funny going to this from "Mr. Darcy's Bite" lol... 

Ah... I kinda wanna read a Jane Austen novel or fanfics based on her works......

So... I continued reading "Mr. Darcy's Bite" today and I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I lost sleep over this book. LOL. As someone whose indifference towards werewolves are the same with vampires/witches/zombies etc, this book is actually interesting...??? It really reminded me of my fanfics binge-reading days (one of those good, well-written ones!). If I stay invested until the end, I might give this 4 stars.

The light above is just perfect. I did my reading for the longest "short story" (which is actually a novelette/short novel) in "The Unreal & The Real" here. Part of it anyway. Finished the story while lying down XD. Unfortunately, I have two more stories (second longest, both have the same amount of pages) to read. I thought I should get the longest one done first after I was left with the longest and second longest...

...Gosh, I don't want to see the word f*ckery anymore lol. The story in general is interesting, but the one (there are several stories in this short novel) that stayed with me without me wanting it to is "Love Out of Place"... the nerve that Azak has, wow. I guess it shouldn't be surprising that she thinks that way, because of their culture(?), but I was having second-hand embarrassment the whole time at the end of her story. Her confidence was cringe.

Anyway, I slept with the window curtains open wide so I was greeted by sunshine in the morning...

  

I got curious of that ring thing. No idea on how they're formed. 

Upon our return to home, the water is back (with low pressure, as usual). I never expect to say this here but...: As much as I hate the idea of doing it, I might have to pull an all-nighter today. Have to catch the... water.
