Posted in: # Last Boss Queen | # Punishing: Gray Raven | # Wuthering Waves | 1st post | 2025 posts | blog images | Books | Kindle | My Fangirl Side | Need to Get This Out of My Chest | Online Shopping Bag | Reading | Shopping Bag

Here are some life(?)... updates.

Lol... more like book updates, maybe?

Interestingly, I can categorise them by month:

BOOK_AUG
Yeah... I managed to get on (visit? board?) the Doulos Hope when it's in town. Had to make reservation online. Kind of fortunate that I was able to do that the night before for August 29th's... Amazingly, I only purchased one book which is another hardcover version of Jane Eyre. When will I ever read "Jane Eyre" and "Emma"? It has been 4 years XD.. what's funny is, at the moment I'm typing this post I'm considering reading them on my Kindle (because I can highlight them there and revisit them in one place on Goodreads). Well, it might be possible to do hybrid reading...

Anyway, I remember the date because when we returned to Jesselton Quay (we rode on a bus to go to the port where they docked), we saw a lorry on fire.

BOOKS_SEPT
Received these books on September 26th... and I remember the date again because it's the day for Wuthering Waves 2.7 preview livestream XD

2/3 of the books are non-fiction ---this coming from me, who generally isn't a fan of non-fiction books? Except when it's about stuff I'm interested in, of course :D
  • A Brief History of Poisons - Lol it's so funny that you can only see "Poisons" from the spine :P
  • The Jane Austen Writers' Club - Because... Jane Austen is in the title.
  • The Andromeda Evolution - It's a sequel to "The Andromeda Strain" that is written by another author... which I might need to reread if I want to read this.

BOOKS_OCT
It's on its way. Will update later. Updated on Oct 4th!

  • The Tokyo Zodiac Murders - Time for a reread?
  • Last Boss Queen LN #9 - Lol just realised that I didn't add the LBQ label to two posts that mentioned it XD

Mini WuWa Talk
Anyway, got Ciaccona's signature weapon... but at what cost?

75th. Yeah, I was so surprised that it's the 75th pull, I forgot to screenshot the convene result lol.

I'll include this shot of the weapon still at Level 1 with Ciaccona instead :P

Very red number

She was actually fine with Static Mist (for Cartethyia team) but I just feel like I'm not using her full potential or something. Well, part of that is probably because of her echoes (as usual *sigh*)... but, oh well. Anyway... I'm so going to make a team with Jiyan or Aalto... Especially Aalto. I haven't made any progress with my Aalto DPS built...

Let me kind of throw this here: I've been playing Punishing: Gray Raven (PGR) on the side (an earlier game made by Kuro Games, who also made WuWa) and I suspect my WuWa luck probably went there (lol) because I got Bianca Crepuscule's exclusive weapon and CUB so early recently. Where was this luck during the DMC colab patch lol

Now I'm kind of scared for the future (saw 2.7 Preview Livestream and... I really want Qiuyuan!)

Anyway, PGR has been an overwhelming experience so I'm just taking it in slowly. Like, very slowly. I don't even care that I'm bad at the combat (I'm a true button-smasher here XD), I decided to focus on doing the story more... and just build anyone as I like. The mini games has been fun :P... that's where I shine the most haha

Lol didn't expect to make a debut for PGR label in this post... though I don't see myself posting about it as much as WuWa in the future because I'm very on-off with the game...

I Touched Grass

Posted in: 2025 posts | blog images | Books | Life | Shopping Bag

...or rather, the wall? (or the tables?) at Suria Sabah today~

Not much to say really... Went to the Muji store which honestly I didn't know existed until this week (there's also a branch at Imago). I'm just four months late XD. Although it's more like me checking out their little stationery corner and the organizer boxes section.

Went to my usual go-to places including Popular Bookstore. Was pleasantly surprised to find Uketsu's "Strange Pictures" in stock (there were three copies on the shelf). I wanted to get the one with the UK version cover but unfortunately it's out-of-stock at Kino... and on Shopee it's basically selling like hot cakes. It's so funny to see the books went out of stock the next day on Shopee (two shops had a few the day before). I guess checking physical stores is an option too next time (duh! XD).

#BBWKK2024: Part 2

Posted in: 2024 posts | blog images | Books | Life: Anecdotes | Shopping Bag

Yup, went to shop for books again.

Unfortunately(?), found more books lol

Also, just like in 2019, I had a list of books I wanted to find there and in the end the list became useless *sigh*.

Miraculously ended up with 50% fiction and 50% non-fiction!
  • Parable of the Talents - Well, am I glad that I came back because I found the sequel(?) to the one I got the other day. And... matching book covers!
  • A Clergyman's Daughter - Ehhh kinda an on-the-whim choice. Saw on Wiki that it's an experimental novel. That and the synopsis got me interested.
  • Stuart: A Life Backwards - This one matches the other books from here. I just realised it's non-fiction/biography today...
  • Rebecca - Ah, yes. This completes the collection(?). Time to read Jane Eyre, me! This version has the movie tie-in cover and I'm totally okay with it *nods energetically*
  • We Are the Nerds - It's about Reddit... Most probably will put this on the family bookshelf after I'm done reading it.
  • Biographic: Austen - Because it's about Jane Austen

Random anecdote of the day...

We've been bringing our own bags to put the books in and it didn't occur to me until later that Penampang doesn't have that no-plastic-bag campaign  like in Kota Kinabalu! I'm quite amused by this realisation which is supposed to be duh!-obvious since we are two different districts.

It's funny thinking about it now because it must have been soooo obvious that we are from/live in KK lol 😳😭🤣

(it has only been a month but I'm quite used to the campaign already since I go "Oh no, plastic 😱" and "We have bags 😎" lol.. I mean we did have some practice from no-plastic-bags on Weekends and Mondays so that helped, I guess)

#BBWKK2024

Posted in: 2024 posts | blog images | Books | Reading | Shopping Bag

Finally went to the BBW books sale at ITCC Penampang today!

Surprisingly (or not?), I exercised great restraint(?) this time around lol. It does feel different from my 2019 experience. I know what books I want. I browsed through the titles faster & better (I think. Probably because I always do that online haha). It does help that the book prices don't feel as cheap as before (very understandable) so you will think more carefully before getting them. I'm also still in that pessimistic reader phase so I'm kind of very sceptic and suspicious of some of the books :P

I decided to stick with authors I've read from before and want to read more. That means I only found these two lol:

  • The Outward Urge - Yesssh, more Wyndham!
  • Parable of the Sower - It's quite hard to find her books on Shopee so I'm glad that I found one today
Probably will go there again once [or twice] more later (since they restock the books). Half hoping that I can find more books I'm interested in next time...

A Sad Day

Posted in: 2024 posts | blog images | Books | Death | No Mood | Shopping Bag

*looooooooong sigh*

Started the day with a very sad news. Haaah...

Oh yeah. It was also a day of getting to places with air-conditioners because that's a perfectly good reason to get out of the house...

Finally had the chance to go to the SPCA KK Charity Shop at Karamunsing. Purchased these three books for RM10:

Pretty much a random bunch...
  • Dragonfly Falling - Do I dare start reading from Book 2? Of course! ...Although I'm not really in the mood to read this now so...
  • The Guest List - Sounds like something I would enjoy reading (mystery/ thriller)!
  • Guide to Grammar - Ah yes, I've wanted something like this as a refresher for some time already... lucky that I found this today
At this moment, I'm suffering from [sudden] runny nose (and that feeling of wanting to sneeze but couldn't). Been dealing with some dust-related activities yesterday so that might (or might not?) be the cause? I just hope the pain won't reach my cheeks... I really don't like it when that happens...

The Other Omnibus

Posted in: 2023 posts | Anime | blog images | Books | Forty Winks and More | Interest: TV | Netflix | Online Shopping | Shopping Bag

It's weird that I couldn't sleep last night even though I was very sleepy! How does that even work??? Anyway, I ended up binge-watching "No Doubt In Us" on Netflix. This was a fun one. And I loved that each episode is like 10 minutes long so it's very bingeable.

⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰

This arrived today. Delivered by PosLaju, who has lived up to their name again XD (Sometimes I miss getting PosLaju ones on Shopee, nowadays it's usually Shopee Xpress or J&T)

After almost two years, I finally found the first omnibus!

Great timing haha. Received this e-mail yesterday... I guess I don't have to renew the notification anymore~ I found one listing for it on Carousell just before CNY holidays - Oh yeah this was the thing I mentioned a week ago - and after knowing it's still available I just instantly tap that buy button lol... The seller was not even home! They can only send it next week (which is this week). Totally okay with that as long as the deal is done. And at great price too! It's around RM80-90 on Book Depository (but it's not available anymore) and probably costs more elsewhere.

So that means I can start reading this! I don't even know what it's about lol... why am I putting efforts into getting it, right? Anyway.. maybe not soon but I'll definitely will try to read both books this year.

Last Straw

Posted in: 2022 posts | Anime | Books | Family | Life: Anecdotes | Manga | Netflix | Reading | Shopping Bag

Went to Suria Sabah in the afternoon. My brother wanted to go there since last week so... I went along because I wanted to check the Popular Bookstore. Understandably, there were quite a lot of people there (since it's public holiday) but I don't think it's as many as the usual weekend crowd...? But then again, we were there late afternoon so maybe most of them had gone home XD

Not much to see at Popular though... Oh but I did see some Higashino books there (but not the newer ones). Did get another horror manga lol...

My brother wanted to buy a new pair of slippers/sandals (he wanted something very specific. It's something like sandals that can easily be converted into slippers) so he went to Skechers. Asked for another size of slippers he was interested in and when she got back - according to my brother, since I didn't witness it myself - the salesperson just threw the slippers at him (I guess she did it very rudely). In the beginning, she was already acting indifferent to him - he can overlook that. But throwing the slippers was the last straw so... he didn't buy anything from there. In the end, he found a pair he liked at Metrojaya.

Oh yeah, also went to eat at Teochew Chendul. Tried their Penang White Curry Mee(hoon) and I think I like it...?

⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰

So... updates for some stuff.

I've been organising things in my room. Just not the shelf I'm supposed to organise.

LOL

I mean... it happens. You plan to do A but you do Z in the end.
...I still have time though so maybe it can still be done :P

✿

Reading progress is... slow. I'm very invested in "Silent Parade" at this moment so I'm like not reading anything else until this gets finished. The problem is... I procrastinate reading so I'm still not done XD...

✿

Been watching "Romantic Killer" on Netflix recently. Not finished yet but I'm enjoying it so far (it's hilarious!). The otome gaming/dating sim stuff is so relatable because I always see similar stuff in my games.

Haven't caught up with newer episodes of "SPY x FAMILY". I started re-watching from the beginning again on Netflix and... you guessed it... I barely make any progress with it.

Yesterday's Story

Posted in: 2022 posts | blog images | Books | Family | Shopping Bag

Recently my sister complained about the chair we used for playing games on the computer. So, my family went out to find a new one at Karamunsing yesterday. I tagged along lol

Maybe because we were out for hours, I was so dead tired and somewhat dehydrated when we reached home.

...also went to City Mall, because it was raining in the afternoon (my mother's reason XD). Of course I had to go to Popular lol.. Found more Japanese light novels that were translated to Malay. Also purchased another horror manga, three TSGS books and two books from the bargain corner (again, I forgot what the term they used for this).

TSGS #6, #9 & #10・Pembunuhan Ke-6・Would You Be My Sunday?・Gadis Cuaca・A French Novel・Fantasy in Death

They had this 5 books for RM20 thing there. "A French Novel" and "Fantasy in Death" were books I randomly selected (there isn't much selection there really).
The other three were my sister's books.

...so yeah, that was my Friday.

I don't know when I'll read them (as usual), but I'll read them... eventually. Some of these sound perfect for my flower-picking trips.

Manga Weekend

Posted in: 2022 posts | Life: Anecdotes | Manga | Reading | Shopping Bag | Weekend Musings

Sleep... is still messed up. I mean, I'm still sleeping but there's just something that feels different about it. Weekend mood is weird.

Went to Imago yesterday. Best time to go to any shopping malls is during weekdays. Not that many people around. So... of course, I went to Popular bookstore lol. It's great seeing them full of books again... with their expensive retail price tags. Almost want to buy the only Jin Yong book I can find there (I'm still collecting btw... Might read it soon because I'm like in mood for wuxia stories after watching "Legend of Fei"). Did buy some manga plus a light novel though (just the usual shoujo and josei stuff.. with some horror-themed ones)  so... I'm gonna go read them after this. Hopefully that will bring back my reading mood for non-manga books.

Bear-tter Day

Posted in: 2022 posts | blog images | Books | Family | Interest: TV | Our Water Woes | Reading | Shopping Bag

Water is back. Woke up feeling restful. No headaches (yay!).

Maybe I'll get some reading done today...

 ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰ ⋱⋰

Bonus pic for today. New book. Not mine though. My mother bought this recently during a work trip. She even got it signed by the person this book is based on. Very cool!

Might read it later. Not really a frequent reader of non-fiction books but when the subject is something I'm interested in, I will read them. The only problem is I become a moodier reader when it comes to non-fiction - the mood swings are pretty bad - and can take longer time to finish them. Which is, on second thought, fine either way (even if it takes years)... but the probability of me to DNF books might be higher for non-fiction. I think this is where the reading schedule generator will be very useful.

More than 12 hours later...

Made this post at 9-10am and forgot to post lol

Water was fine when I took a shower but apparently it's gone again (night?). Did manage to do laundry though and the sun was so strong today (I even experienced a bit headache after going out to get the dried laundry).

Didn't really do any reading at all *sigh*

Also... Just finished an Indonesian horror movie with my sister. "Jaga Pocong". Kind of loved the vibe. When it became clear what it's about, I actually got reminded of a similar movie "The Skeleton Key". Got excited about it and almost spoiled the story to my sister when I asked if she watched it before (she haven't). Will re-watch the movie with her if it's available again.

The 3rd Time

Posted in: 2021 posts | blog images | Books | Shopping Bag

Went to Imago today.

It's the third time this year that I got out of the house. The only places I went to were Daiso, Popular & Madam Kwan's (for lunch).

Didn't really find the book I wanted there (the MacMillan Collector's Library series... no "Jane Eyre" or "Dracula") but still managed to get these:

True Singapore Ghost Stories: Book 14 - Another TSGS book added to my collection. I didn't realise that I'm collecting this though :P... Not sure since when it became natural to look for another TSGS book that I don't have whenever I go to Popular.

Piranesi - A book that's in my to-read list on GR since April. I think it was recommended by a book youtuber (that has similar taste with me) in one of her videos. It sounds interesting so I want to give it a try. Quite surprised to find it at Popular though... I guess this is one of the popular releases? *oblivious to current trends*

Ready Player One - This is also in my to-read list. Since 2018. Oh.. I think it was when I saw the movie on TV. I do that sometimes. Wanting to read the book the movie is based on AFTER watching XD

March Leftovers.

Posted in: 2020 posts | blog images | Books | I Need to Talk About My Dreams | My Dark Side | My Worrying Side | Online Shopping | Online Shopping Bag | Shopping Bag

It's almost May. I didn't post anything in March... *sigh*

I want to say it's been normal... lately. I mean.. I've been living a semi-hikikomori life since end of 2018.. so it's nothing I'm not familiar with. But... I guess that's not a guarantee? My sleep schedule is being crazy again (is it due to the weather? The same thing happened around this time last year). Been having crazy, weird dreams.

It has been intense... I'm trying not to feed that worrying side of me. Also, not a big news reader here but I've been opening Google News... occasionally. Not a fan of newspapers.. they sometimes affect me emotionally. I really don't like to get angry every time I read about people being stupid or saying stupid things. How can I be angry when I always say I feel numb? I don't know! I suspect that I still have some hidden anger towards some ex-colleagues since I quit my job.. or that's just my side that likes to hold grudges.. I don't know! I just know that I'm a mean person and sometimes I wish bad things happen to people who mistreated me in the past!

Sorry.. for that negative opening. I congratulate you if you made it this far. Anyway. Here's something I'm supposed to post in March. Before the MCO, I managed to pick up my package at Popular City Mall. I tried buying their books online and since I'm a cheapskate I asked for delivery to their store (store pick-up). Oh yes, you can do that. I think it's actually a nice option because I don't have to find the books myself (yes, they are chinese novels XD). Feels like I should profess my love for Dijun here but I.. the excitement is long gone XD. At this moment, I'm still waiting for related books via Bookurve & Youbeli... I don't really mind if they take longer (probably have to get from overseas), I just hope they could get hold of them because I really, really want them.

Here are more stuff added to my manga collection. I know the left one looks scandalous haha but I assure you they are... wholesome. The one in the back is an issue of Hana to Yume with Namaikizakari on the cover. I had to get that volume of Queen's Quality because duh.. drama CD!

Usually I would buy my copies of Hyouka & Bungo at Popular but this time I had to get Hyouka #12 from the publisher especially since they offer free shipping now. Yes, there was a delay but I don't care! As long as I get the thing, I'm fine with it! I consider myself an experienced online shopper (been doing it for at least 15 years already) and I've built up a lot of patience over those years... you have to be really patient when buying things online because the estimated time of arrival is never accurate. You have to be ready for them to reach you earlier or later.

Didn't expect to post something this long but I'm glad I did. Hopefully I'll find the motivation to post more in the near future.

13 Books I Purchased Recently

Posted in: 2020 posts | Blog Meme | Books | Diana Wynne Jones | Jane Austen | Michael Crichton | My Fangirl Side | Online Shopping | Shopping Bag

Another Thursday 13 post!
  1. The Wrong Number (R. L. Stine) - I want to try reading the Fear Street series again.
  2. Tuesdays with Morrie (Mitch Albom) - Curious.
  3. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (Helen Fielding) - Curious. Saw the movie.
  4. A Rainbow Feast: New Asian Short Stories. (edited by Mohammad A. Quayum) - Random pick.
  5. Frankenstein (Mary Shelley) - Curious.
  6. Eaters of the Dead (Michael Crichton)
  7. Timeline (Michael Crichton)
  8. Airframe (Michael Crichton)
  9. The Andromeda Strain (Michael Crichton)
  10. Travels (Michael Crichton)
  11. The Kalahari Typing School for Men (Alexander McCall Smith) - Bargain corner.
  12. Bungo Stray Dogs #16 [Gempak Starz] (Asagiri Kafka, Harukawa Sango)
  13. The Decagon House Murders (Ayatsuji Yukito) - Curious.
I'm a big Michael Crichton fan so that's the reason why there are so many. This month, I ended up buying many pre-loved books of his on Carousell. I seriously need to stay away from that site/app. I haven't received the first and last book via mail. Bungo and Hyouka are two main mangas I buy regularly because they are available locally in English. I've learnt enough from experience that if I want those manga, buy it as soon as possible because they will be out of stock in the future (had to turn to Carousell to get a used version of Hyouka #1).

Weird combination? I usually go by my current mood when I pick what to read. Generally, I like a good story but I'm also the same person who prefer Michael Crichton, Diana Wynne Jones & Jane Austen' writing styles... what does that mean? I also don't know. *sighs in confusion*

Hopefully I won't buy anymore books in the near future...

LibraryThing and some other things.

Posted in: 2020 posts | blog images | Books | Family | Life: Anecdotes | Personal Photos | Shopping Bag

Something good happened today. More specifically, in 2014? I just realised it today OMG. I've been looking for a way to keep track of books I own.. since over 10 years ago. For now, I'm using Goodreads and Libib. Today, I decided to check out LibraryThing again. Again, you say? I made an account before in 2009 but I never fully utilise it because there's a limit of books you can add to your catalogue for a free account. Then there was an e-mail I received in 2014 which I probably thought was to urge the users to change their password... apparently I didn't read until the part where they give lifetime account to those affected. LIFETIME! I might use it starting today~~~!

Yeah... I'm a bit weird. I use Goodreads to track my reading progress (so I don't really keep a list of books I own there.. more for books I have read). Libib is for any books I encounter (owned and not owned i.e. books I read in libraries). Now I'm going to use LibraryThing for books I own (& maybe to record books that exist in my house). I also plan to make a post on my bookshelf here and a blogspot page with a [static] list of books I own. The list will be for my convenience - something to refer to when buying books - and will be updated regularly. Probably not going to share the link to my LibraryThing here because... my 2009 self decided to use.. let's say.. an anagram of my real name for the account. Another reason why I'll make a blogspot page for that!

★★★★★
Yesterday, my family and I went to church at 1Borneo. Yeah... that was an interesting experience too. Somehow I can feel that the energy there was livelier or something. Probably because they have many students (the church is near to several higher learning institutions)... Haha it might be too much for the introverted me. We had the opportunity to participate in their version (it's not that different though) of holy communion. I was greatly amused by their golden-coloured communion ware - even the cups are golden! *The things I notice lol*

What I purchased at Popular (Imago) last Saturday [Jan 11th]. Latest volume of Bungo and another PwP book from that bargain corner. Didn't find much books of interest in this particular Popular outlet except this (I have the first book in the series given by someone years ago).

Weak Against Books

Posted in: 2019 posts | blog images | Books | NaBloPoMo | Online Shopping | Personal Photos | Shopping Bag

I've mentioned before in a post about going to that corner in Popular. Oh yes, I did it again.  I am weak against books with cheap prices. *sigh*

I was in Suria this afternoon with my family. At Popular, I didn't find anything I'm interested in except this. Since my mother was buying another book, I took advantage of that to get this. Even though I haven't got around to reading the original trilogy boxset I got from Big Bad Wolf last June....

"The Hunger Games Companion", originally priced at RM32.90.
I also purchased some books via Lazada today. Yes, they were inexpensive too. These prices shown here are prices before getting the weekend 20% discount. Free shipping too! Seriously, I'm weak against this!
A Rainbow Feast is a random pick. The other three are books I have interest in reading.

P/s: I do mention that I always avoid popular books but of course... there will be exceptions! Sometimes I develop interest in them (especially after watching its adaptations in other media). I consider myself a picky reader so I have a weird collection of books that probably won't make sense to you. [Ooooh. That might be nice to blog about. I could post photos of my bookshelf]

Shopping bag >>
Received these yesterday...
Both singles were great but at first listening, I love Breathless more than Calling.
Piano songbooks: Onitsuka Chihiro's songs (old ones but most are my favourites) & Arashi's "My Girl" single ("Tokei Jikake no Umbrella" piano solo included!).
I think I'm more happy to see those songbooks (haha).. It's hard to find Onitsuka Chihiro's piano scores nowadays - so glad that I managed to get it. And Tokei~! Yes, yes, yes! That was my main reason for purchasing Arashi's "My Girl" songbook ^_^

Speaking of books, I bought more books this year (my prediction was a bit off - I almost can't purchase Popcorn Live DVD today *sigh*)... oh and I used BB1M book vouchers to get these:

Textbooks! Both are for courses which I happened to like this semester. I love the lecturer for Mathematical Modelling - his lecture classes   make sense (he might just be the only person that could make me like Math again). I've always regard AI as an interesting subject... but.. the lecture classes bore me to death. Honestly, I was quite disappointed... it was a new lecturer (never went to her classes before)... I can't wait for the next lecturer's turn to enter class. She taught us "Data Compression" last semester, I love her teaching style (although one has to bear her painful tsukkomis to really enjoy her classes).

Anyway.. The cooking-related book is obviously for my cooking hobby XD.. & I picked "The Last Lecture" at random.. sounded like something I need to read right now (but I haven't started..so...)

Blog >>
Didn't update this blog for more than two months... ahh. I actually have 3 draft posts at this moment. Will post them sloooowly later... one by one...

Arashi >>
"Himitsu no Arashi-chan" will broadcast its final episode next week. I love HnA. Not only for Arashi but for the show itself (which mainly caters for female viewers)... There were times where it helped me like some actresses more (better understanding of their real life I guess)... and those episodes with Maou hair *dreamy*... Reading news about other members' solo shows makes me wonder what will happen to Ohno & Jun. Jun actually co-hosts some annual show so I guess I'm more worried about Ohno (lol).. Of course, I'm hoping for acting projects (nothing since KagiHeya! What are you doing Ohno??!)... but fishing show, art show/exhibition or solo album/concert sounds nice too, so yeah, please do something this year, Ohno-san! XD
... I'm also hoping that he'll star in this year's 24hr TV drama special...
p/s: Recommended SMAP-Arashi article of the day - here XD (makes me want to rewatch Arashi's appearance on Utaban again)

YesAsia cancelled my order. They couldn't find the books I want. It's kind of disappointing (esp after that "Meikyuu" incident)... but I found another online store I can order from (hopefully they could find them this time). More than a week ago, I asked my mum to help me buy 「鍵のかかった部屋」from Kinokuniya though :P (coincidentally she was in KL the next day for a meeting after I got the cancellation e-mail for Kagi's novel). I think it was the last copy - LUCKY!~~~

Exams. Didn't take the exam for the class I took during semester break last Friday. A certificate will be awarded (during graduation) if one passes the exam. I didn't attend the first week of the class so being the practical me, I decided not to waste my time there. Stupid decision? Well, my choice, my life - deal with it. Besides, I have another skill-related exam that I care more about that I should be focusing on now (the exam is tomorrow). But of course, I'm truly grateful for the knowledge taught to me during holidays - it would really help me pass my CG courses & get a better understanding of the programming world (hopefully).

Super excited for Ohno's new dorama this coming April! His character reminded me a lot of Galileo's (enjoyed this dorama when I saw it first in 2007) Yukawa-sensei. Mystery/detective things & Sherlock-type characters have always been my cup of tea. :D I can't wait to see his interpretation of Enomoto Kei! Even though my vocabulary is still lacking, I might attempt to read the original novel because I'm too curious of the lead male & female characters' interaction~ ...& Toda Erika. Didn't watch her doramas that much but I used to think her expressions were natural in Code Blue (haven't finish this though :P). Somewhat a better actress than Aragaki (judging from Code Blue). I could have liked her as an actress! XD (though I don't really like her characters in Nobuta & HanaDan2)

This year is different. It's going to be different.

One new thing I did this year is opening a Paypal account.

It started from knowing that there are fans who sell the Limited editions (Japan version) of Arashi singles (obviously it's Arashi-related :P) on Livejournal. Of course, they are pricey... but I don't care if I could own the limited edition of "truth" & others that I couldn't purchase before... :D

Anyway. This knowledge led to doing many other new things. First I went to CIMB bank & converted my ATM card to the debit card + ATM card. Then I realised their debit card doesn't permit online transactions ("no-card-present transactions not allowed").. which means I can't link it to my Paypal account! Boo. Then I moved on to my Maybank account. All I had to do was to sign up for a Maybank2U account... & also register my mobile phone for the TAC thing. I don't know if this is necessary for using the debit card but I felt uncomfortable if my number is not registered because I got used to TAC when using CIMBclicks. Then, it's done. Linked the cherry card successfully to Paypal...

Somewhat.. typing all these here seems insecure. I didn't mention anything private, did I?

So... two days ago, before Ohno's Spring dorama was confirmed, I ordered the novel (lol) & paid using Paypal for the first time (paid more but it's an easy way to purchase things online when you don't own a credit card) on YesAsia. I also ordered Arashi's latest album "Beautiful World" 's songbook. ...I'm very satisfied with my order :P. Glad I ordered the novel earlier because now it's temporarily out of stock (hopefully they'll manage to find a copy for me). I'm guessing that the novel is back hot in demand now in Japan as it's going to be a dorama next season.

I can't wait for April to come!

No piano class today.

Posted in: 2011 posts | blog images | Delayed Rebellious Phase (Cringeworthy) | Learning Japanese Language | NaBloPoMo | Shopping Bag

Went to Times bookstore (Suria branch) to check out some Japanese language learning books. There are many new ones!  I saw a very, very thick Kanji dictionary (added to my will-buylist  <3) & some one or two more books that I think can help my self-study. UWA. The prices!!! The dictionary is almost RM300… the other books are in the RM70-90 range. Arrgggrrhrh.
Bought one book that teaches how to read/construct sentences.
