This afternoon, I just had another moment where I thought I have that book but I don't...? It's messing me up. Did search through my LibraryThing and confirmed that I don't have it (it's "Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier btw). Also looked at my blog entries and realised what I had in mind was "Madame Bovary" - which I mistook as "Rebecca", for some reason - so glad that I took photos of books I received and blogged about them these past few years! My memory is still crap nowadays.

Why "Rebecca"? Hmm.. I just recalled that I read an abridged version before (borrowed from library school, I think). It reminded me of "Jane Eyre" really. But then I still get confused often because there's another book that was said to be like a prequel to "Jane Eyre" - "Wide Sargasso Sea" by Jean Rhys. [Totally leaving these info for future-me use lol] I haven't read that one too. If I'm going to [re?]read "Rebecca", I will go for the unabridged one.
