♢ Made a Letterboxd account yesterday on random lol... I'm a bit surprised that the usual handle I use online ("ruyanda") is still available! Currently I'm trying to log all the movies I've watched (at least the one I remember watching lol) in the past there~ 

♢ I guess it is a month of window-shopping on Shopee XD... Now I'm looking at reading journals - there aren't much but they exist (and for sale!) on Shopee! Speaking of reading journals, I should probably update my months-abandoned reading journal *sigh*...

♢ Last night I've made a list of books I could or would want to read before the year ends... which I just realised a bit later that it's basically a TBR list lol......

Unfortunately, I procrastinated reading physical books during the weekend so I barely made any progress on the books I'm currently reading. The "I can do this!" feeling is still here though so maybe a miracle(?) will happen this week?

Purchased some modern classics books yesterday on Shopee. Somehow I'm convinced that I could read them [now] for some reason...? Where did this confidence even come from??? 

Anyway, for no reasons at all, I've decided that I'll finish reading two books this week. I feel like I can do it... although anything can happen to make it not happen lol. Let's wait and see.

Barely done anything for my small goal so I'm going to continue the same goal this month.

That means this month's goals will be the same with last month's...

I usually add another goal when it's continued from last month but I'm not going to do that this time. I just don't wanna do it :P


Lol... totally haven't finished reading "The Homeward Bounders"~~~ I'll try to do that today but no promises~

I guess the amount of pages will be the first thing I'll check when considering what to read next.

...*sigh* I really need to tidy up my books [that aren't put in the bookshelf] though. I have to put away those I've already read.

I never said that it's over(?) but today I realised I'm pretty much still in the middle of a [physical books] reading slump. I know the signs. I started switching between reading and skim-reading often. I understand like 70% of what I read. I couldn't focus on the words. *haaah* 

I still think 50 pages daily a manageable amount but there are days where... I don't want to do it 😬 Oh well. It will stay that many for now. If it really bothers me, I'll halve the amount of pages later...

Anyway, I might finish a book I started few days ago tomorrow so I'm back to picking another new book - according to my current mood! - which I don't look forward to. Starting a book is soooo hard. It's like getting to know a new person...

Anyway... today is one of those rare days I actually stayed quite a while on Twitter (X? Is it still even called Twitter???). It doesn't feel like a familiar place anymore. Funnily, the thing that annoys me the most is I can't even look at a thread or a profile unless I'm logged in (so that means I have to open the other Chrome browser).

Found a short web novel today. It had a rough beginning (toxic stepmother and bad stepsister) but I think I laughed most of it because the male lead (a duke this time, for a change) made a contract (that involved a spirit) wanting nothing to do with the wife he's marrying. If she tries to seduce him into bed (=breaks the contract), she'll be cursed. MC is fine with that. The duke isn't. The contract thing was not done according to his wishes (it was his aides' doings, they thought MC is bad), and MC happens to be his long-lost childhood love... so you see... he'll want to break that contract XD -- yeah I was laughing my meanest laugh, waiting for him to realise that muahaha... Fortunately, he's not the one who came up with the contract idea because the contract sounds so terrible... Even if MC was okay with it and even praised how "good" it was/it didn't have any loopholes.

Received some books in the mail today. One of it is a mass paperback version of "The Phantom of the Opera"... I don't even know when I'm going to read this lol. Classics will be a bit difficult to read during a reading slump. Chose the book because I need to add something to get free shipping on Amazon SG... and I never read it before. 

Read some manga with nasty prince characters... ahh I want to get back to the nice ones... but I keep getting distracted...

Also, I've reached this point in my web novels reading adventures... when I see 40-60 chapters, I say, "Yeah, I can manage that~" lies, I'm full of lies (T___T)

The weather has been cool and nice lately. 

Didn't touch "Heaven's Shadow" at all today. Might try to marathon-read it tomorrow. For some reason, I'm motivated...? XD

I am in a better mood(?) though, I think. Hormone hell was awful as usual. Just yesterday, I got inspired to check on my yet-to-be-written story in Evernote. Of course, it still remains unwritten but I added some more details for future-me's reference. I'm quite excited about it.

DHL delivery man came with a package today. Yup, this one needed an electronic signature all right. Complete with a DHL van instead of the usual rider-type(?) ones. I don't always get to sign for mail delivery like that so it's fun~ XD I'm easily amused by tech gadgets

Still kind of distracted as of now so I've been procrastinating on reading the second volume of "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent". That's probably for the best because I can finish the book in one sitting (very confident!)... it's just me taking the long way home(?), so I'll be fine~

I've started using my memory notebook since that post, and I can't say it's any help yet for now... But it has been somewhat an embarrassing experience. Mostly, I've just been recording what I eat for meals and let me tell you that sometimes I don't remember what I had for lunch on that day (it was just a few hours ago!). If not that, my problem would be I couldn't recall what's the name of the food. What I know for sure now is my memory is crappy as expected and I don't know if I should be happy because I'm right or sad because it's confirmed... maybe both.

Oh well.

I do have the habit of getting in them when looking for distractions... I should stop looking for other distractions that will distract me from my the thing I'm [currently] distracted with. *sigh*

I really, really want to continue reading the second volume of "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent" but... I don't have the next three volumes yet~~~ There IS that option of continuing by reading the web novel instead... but I'm reading it together with the light novel... ahhhh what a dilemma~

Anyway, while we are online again after that day, the connection stays unstable these few days. Some days it would just start getting laggy. Today, we lost wifi... and that doesn't happen that often. I was quite surprised. There is internet but no wifi. Apparently it's not enough to reboot (in 192.168.0.1), I had to reset/restart the router itself then only the wifi works again.

I've been reading so many web novels recently it's starting to scare me a bit. 

*sigh* 

I'm half-reflecting on it. I don't think I'm going to quit cold turkey but...  I might need to limit the time or chapters or something. It's a bit hard sometimes because it's so addicting. The effect is similar to when I binge-read manga in the past, I would start abandoning books I'm currently reading *haaaaaah* :|  ...which is kind of what is happening now. It's almost like a reading slump but at the same time, I'm still reading actively [on my phone]... Haah, I guess it is just me getting distracted like usual~~~

The only positive side of this is I get to learn more Japanese vocabulary...? Of course, I'm referring to the web novels that I'm currently reading in its original language on Syosetu. Been using the highlight -> Gtranslate feature more lately (such a very useful feature!). I don't usually translate the whole page because oh boy can you imagine how problematic the translation would be??? I only did a few paragraphs and that already got me laughing out loud silly because the translation was so funny XD

Thanks to... distractions, I've completed two major challenges. 

It feels good. 

I guess I can go back to my favourite characters now... although recently my usual non-challenge character go-to is Turian Havoc (or Turian Ghost, depending on my mood) because I can do melee attack like Saitama XD... which is to kill the lower level enemies in one punch lol. I even change their appearance to Saitama's colours - yellow and red - instead of my usual blue and red theme. (Though I can't add red yet for my Turian Ghost because I haven't unlocked the secondary colour option)

Oh, I also need to focus on weapon challenges now... it has been fun learning to use other ones. I've unlocked some rare ones recently so I can't wait to try them more. Wasn't really a fan of shotguns before but after finding some good ones (and learning to use them in the game - it doesn't really scare me to get closer to the enemies anymore, though I still run from banshees :P), I think I can like them now. 

I can also do more silver matches, I guess. I need the credits and practice. 

Still a bit irritable so I'm trying to keep my mouth shut more to prevent disasters(?).

But... I just saw the last episode of "Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill" last night... GAAAH I love it so much. He's so gorgeous!

SO. CUTE.

I know people really love Sui (I love Sui too) but for me, it's Fel. Even if he's just a gluttonous Fenrir XD

"By the Grace of the Gods" & "The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague"  ended peacefully. I might want to re-watch the whole thing again later :P

A cliffhanger(?) ending for "Sugar Apple Fairy Tale" since it unfortunately has a second cour. I still don't like the MC so I don't feel sorry seeing what she lost in the end. In fact, I was smiling (while I rolled my eyes) because I'm just being my mean self. 

I do feel sad for Challe (Shall?) though, that other girl sounds like bad n-eww-s... (did it work? I tried putting eww in "news" because that's how I feel about that other girl)

Which means I haven't found much because I don't have anything worth mentioning about today XD

I do wonder about the blog that led me into a rabbit hole last year. For some reason, I don't keep it in my Chrome bookmarks... no sign of it in my unorganised Evernote notes... what were you doing, past-me???

Oh, yeah. I'm also in zombie mode today. In the morning, I got annoyed by slowness of all form... there were a lot of video-switching (I'm thinking of something like switching between channels on TV, this might not be the best term but it will have to do for now... I can't think too hard today) on Youtube today. 

...also accidentally stabbed myself with a sewing needle twice (to me sewing is an activity that doesn't require much thinking but obviously I still need to have a sharp mind *sigh*). Fun morning.
