Here we go again~ 18th anniversary of my blog url!

It's not even a week into 2026 yet and I feel like so many things have happened.

*loooooooooooong sigh*

Here are some updates, I guess...

Random anecdote of the day: I was in my room when something flew around... I thought it was a cockroach. Had a screaming session, as one can predict. Then it flew out after I open the door. Back to my room... and something flew around again. So... there were two of them! Screamed again. Grabbed my glasses cautiously and realised... it's a moth. 😅 And it's only that one moth. I thought I saw one flew out but it probably never did. The thing I thought is cockroach outside was just a shadow 😑🤣
Received a book via mail yesterday:

Tiny WuWa Update: I... finally... did... the last few 1.0 main story quests for my backup speedrun account! No speedrunning this time because I want it recorded. Now my Rover there can be levelled to 90. I was stuck at Level 70 for so long because I can't find a good time/space to record (mostly because I'm out of space LOL). I say record, but it's just gameplay without my voice XD. I just want to look back at it whenever I want.

Bonus: I also recorded Jiyan's companion quest~ It's best played freshly from finishing the 1.0 main story quest while you're still feeling the impact of war with the Threnodian.
I've been writing in my diary recently... The need to use [up] my pens (beginner-friendly fountain pens, gel pens etc) helps with that a bit. Use your stationery!

Last but not least... *sigh*
I'll never get used to this but here we go haaah...

One of my uncles in Tawau passed away early this year. Why does that sound awkward? It was just last week! It's practically still New Year so it's a very surprising news when his daughter informed in the family Whatsapp group. I did first hear it from my parents because I rarely check my Whatsapp anymore. Doesn't lessen the effects of reading those messages.

He was.. is.. one of my favourite uncles. It's not like we're close or anything but he's easy to talk to. Friendly and always full of smiles.

Rest in Peace, Uncle Yohanis.

This topic has came up again recently—diary.

Well, it will be more of a minor update...

My 2018-Now Diary is Still a Thing

I mentioned this particular diary in a 2021 post and fortunately/unfortunately it's still usable. There are so many blank pages left. I seem to have added a few more entries in 2021–2023 (after that post; mostly near the end of year XD)... the most funny and sad one was in 2024. I probably was supposed to be extra excited about doing it for 2024 since I even made a "2024 cover". It's more like a two-page spread of just stickers and the number 2024 on it... but no entries at all after that. So sad-looking :P. Then I returned to it this year, and [always] in December... and kind of decided I'll write something again. Why is it always in December?

Anyway... there are a couple of things I would continue to do in the future regarding the diary. I really like using the date stamp (with red ink) so maybe I'll try looking for ones with its stamp pad ready on Shopee later. And stickers! The diary is the perfect place to use stickers! It's nice to see them when I'm rereading old entries.

Though I can't say for sure that I'll write in it more frequently next year but I will want to try.

Birthday Eve's Mistake

Almost didn't want to post anything today (procrastinating mode XD) but since I actually did post annually since 2021, it would be a waste to not post something today...

I'll keep this short. It's very much as low-key as last year's... so again, not much really to speak about today.

Although, I guess I can share my, ermmm, failure recently XD. Don't worry, it's still birthday-related. Had a birthday eve lunch outside at City Malls' Sushi King... honestly I've been missing eating kaiten sushi so finally had the courage(?) to do so this year. Yeah it's just the usual eating lunch stuff but... I made a mistake not double-checking our order (you do it from a tab/pad on the table) and we ended up with three bento boxes instead of only one XD. Damn, no wonder it (they?) arrived so late! Fortunately, packing them is an option... it would be more hassle for them but that's the only best option. I ended up eating them for yesterday's dinner and today's lunch. Nothing's wasted :)

I'm here to provide life updates XD

Not much happening really... though I did get sick like one-two-ish weeks ago. It felt like a weird flu (didn't check if it's Covid though). Surprisingly wasn't very "mucousy" but still had a very bad case of blocked nose (I guess it's still there). It started with a sore throat. Had very mild fever throughout the couple of weeks I was sick, like it wasn't that bad but the fever was persistent for some reason. Honestly, I did give myself a scare by wondering if it's pneumonia although I didn't really have difficulty breathing (except those few times the blocked nose made it hard to sleep). Didn't experience loss of smell.
I finally finished my second book which is a manga (or manhwa, seeing that the author name's sounds like a Korean)... although it's more like a collection of horror short stories in the form of both comic and written short stories... It was obviously for teenagers but I quite enjoyed reading it (especially when it doesn't shy away from killing its characters). I couldn't find an entry of the book on GR so I guess it won't count as one of the books I finished this year in GR. Oh well.

The washing machine at home finally broke down after a few years of being in a half-functioning state. The reason I mentioned this is because I finished reading the book while waiting for the laundry to complete at a self-service laundromat XD

I suppose I had the opportunity to dive into books when I was sick but I don't feel like "tainting" my books with germ so... or maybe that's just my reading slump speaking.

Mini WuWa Talk
Some updates before the next patch is up~

Didn't manage to get another copy of Brant so now it solidified the fact(?) that I seem to have "skipped" this patch lol. Seriously... since I don't have anyone new to built I ended up maxing out Calcharo's skills XD (I still need to get better echoes for him). Yeah, just call me stubborn, I still intend to max out every resonators I have and I don't care if you think it's wasteful~! Not like I have everybody anyway... I just want everyone to be at max level (including their skills) then I'll be sure if they aren't hitting damage enough it's because of my skill issues XD. It's now at a point where I'm using a wheel online to pick who's next to built lol. I just need another boss fight to complete my all my Encore's skills.

Did a last minute 10-convene in my backup-speedrun account and manage to get a guaranteed Brant early lol... So all my accounts now have Brant. I barely got his signature weapon for my RuRu & speedrun accounts... now I have to wait for another rerun for this one account XD

There's kind of an advantage (I guess) to maxing everybody to Level 90... they are kinda ready to be used in Dreaming Deep event :P... I know, I know.. most don't care about this event (understandable) but I do like it a bit because of the lore(?) stuff. They're probably not canon but I think it's close enough that I find some of them interesting and fascinating, like looking for lore beyond the symbolisms or something... I want to believe that some Rover lore exists there in the ~~Black Shores~~ Pysche Pass stage.
Anyway I've been filtering - I guess you can call it that - the WuWa contents I watch on Youtube recently. While I do see some of those drama stuff, it's really more fun to see someone playing the game [for fun]... I've been introduced to taking photos during fights (it's part of a WuWa competition in China - Jinzhou Cup) which looks fun :P
Most probably will use my guarantee on Augusta because apparently she has shields...?! I need another shielder to fight the dragon (can't really use Brant who has the same attribute). I never even thought of getting her (except her weapon) until I hear about the shield lol

Brant New Day

A pretty much Zombie-mode day (honestly, when is it not? :P)

Very excited for Brant's release today... wait, I just realise there'll be three posts today lol (and I pretty much talked about Brant in all of them haha)

It's Brant's day today but it's also the day our water tank got an overdue fix-up/maintenance. Which means, there'll be no water supply available in the kitchen area for at least 3 days. Fortunately, the tank upstairs is not affected.

Something I forgot to post about weeks ago: On February 14th, I received the 3rd volume of the light novel "If the Villainess and Villain Met and Fell in Love" in the mail.

There are other factors but I haven't been posting much here because currently the keyboard I'm using is kind of broken. There are certain keys that don't work when pressed. I'm using a backup, compact keyboard but I miss using the numpad area lol.

The keys that won't work are pretty important:

These
Right button
The 0 and . on the numpad
A special button that acts as a toggle to access the volume and brightness option

Surprisingly it doesn't really affect much everyday use (internet surfing and playing games) but typing out an entire blog post becomes more challenging. I like to type out fast so not having easy access to commas and fullstops isn't fun :( I did remap some of them for short sentence use but as expected, it's very inconvenient. It's pretty crazy typing this post with two keyboards side by side lol

Another No-water Friday

Some life updates. Which isn't much lol... Early this week I was feverish for a few days, I think that's like the longest I was sick with fever since 2020 (or 2019?). It was also hard to sleep properly because my nose was so congested that it was hard to breathe through the nose when lying down. I'm feeling much better now (since yesterday actually).

Unfortunately, we haven't been getting water since last night. Their notices section wasn't updated (as usual?) since August although they did post the notices on their Facebook page. I'm not seeing anything related our address though... there are some places mentioned nearby which might affected us too. I hope it won't be a long one like last time.

Mini WuWa Talk

I guess this means I'm over(?) my trauma(?) with Level 120 Lightcrusher? Because how could I've defeated him on my first try in my Fenn account???

FIRST TRY??!?! LOOOL

It's also another proof that I've grown so much in my WuWa journey(?)...

I think it's partly because I have Baizhi in my team...? And also because I have Xiangli Yao. He's like, I don't know why, but I feel confident using him to fight certain enemies (like Lumiscale Construct)... I wonder if it feels the same with the other resonators that use gauntlets hmmm. Anyway, Yao was dead at one point and Baizhi instantly brought him back to life lol. Totally was just near that place doing my daily quest and thought "Let's just try it once" XD...

Belated Updates

Kind of just realised that I didn't post anything on the first day of the month :P

Anyway... nothing new really.

Oh yeah. I got sick since Friday... so that's been fun :/ *sigh*
Funny thing is my hearing is more sensitive (hormones?) recently and certain songs and voices sound extra fine... I want to sing along to songs I'm listening on Spotify, while being sick. Such great time to be sick, right? XD. It is kind of perfect timing to practise singing songs with low notes though (but that might not be healthy for the throat on the long run :P.. honestly not easy to do anyway because I keep wanting to cough.. or be out of breath because of congested nose lol)

Still in a slow(?) reading period. Started reading a manga recently (after finishing Vol 2 of "7th Time Loop") and it's a nice... palate cleanser. Reading light-hearted shoujo manga in between books are very much recommended!

I'm also slowly going through my Watch Later playlist. I fast-forward parts I think I don't need to see, cut out (=remove) videos I'm not interested in watching anymore from the playlist... although I'm running out of videos that I could play in the background (oh well). I try not adding new videos whenever possible.

Oh yeah, finally finished posting a year worth of posts on my Wordpress blog(?). I called it my "On This Day" archive blog. It's similar to the list of posts I do yearly in this blog (here's this year's).. but it's by day format. Mostly it's made for my own convenience - you can take a look if you want to since it's public lol.

#BBWKK2024: Part 2

Yup, went to shop for books again.

Unfortunately(?), found more books lol

Also, just like in 2019, I had a list of books I wanted to find there and in the end the list became useless *sigh*.

Miraculously ended up with 50% fiction and 50% non-fiction!

Parable of the Talents - Well, am I glad that I came back because I found the sequel(?) to the one I got the other day. And... matching book covers!
A Clergyman's Daughter - Ehhh kinda an on-the-whim choice. Saw on Wiki that it's an experimental novel. That and the synopsis got me interested.
Stuart: A Life Backwards - This one matches the other books from here. I just realised it's non-fiction/biography today...
Rebecca - Ah, yes. This completes the collection(?). Time to read Jane Eyre, me! This version has the movie tie-in cover and I'm totally okay with it *nods energetically*
We Are the Nerds - It's about Reddit... Most probably will put this on the family bookshelf after I'm done reading it.
Biographic: Austen - Because it's about Jane Austen

Random anecdote of the day...
We've been bringing our own bags to put the books in and it didn't occur to me until later that Penampang doesn't have that no-plastic-bag campaign like in Kota Kinabalu! I'm quite amused by this realisation which is supposed to be duh!-obvious since we are two different districts.

It's funny thinking about it now because it must have been soooo obvious that we are from/live in KK lol 😳😭🤣

(it has only been a month but I'm quite used to the campaign already since I go "Oh no, plastic 😱" and "We have bags 😎" lol.. I mean we did have some practice from no-plastic-bags on Weekends and Mondays so that helped, I guess)

WuWa Talk: Moon-Chasing Festival

Moon-Chasing Festival (so far)

I'm quite surprised that we're getting this much interaction(?) with Xiangli Yao and... I love every minute of it!

Another reason I like him is this: robots!

It's funny how I'm ~~speeding~~ going through the main story [again] now (and some other quests) for my Fenn account because I couldn't do some of the mini quest in this festival lol... I was planning to take it slow but I guess I can't (for Xiangli Yao's sake! All my accounts must meet the requirements to get him for free!)

Anyway I said I've ascended seven resonators but actually I miscounted (unless you count Rover as two - Havoc & Spectro - though I don't regularly use Spectro Rover haha)... for now it's six, but my Danjin is not that far from being ascended (so I guess it's like... 7.5 lol).

Today I realised...

I had to connect the printer to the "new" Wi-Fi again. Totally forgot about that.
There's possibility that Google Play won't recognise your account's country if you keep sim cards from other countries inside your phone, making it hard to redeem GPlay gift cards. Tried it for my father's account and couldn't make it work even though the foreign sim card had already been removed. It's like Google thinks he's still in that country for some reason... (In the end, he ended up using the carrier billing method lol)

My Day

Today's highlights:

Zombie mode. Slow brain.
I didn't need to go to Suria Sabah's Maxis Centre to terminate a supplementary number under my account. I could, like, just chat through their Whatsapp business account... (which I admit is pretty cool→an impression I finally form in mind after having a short nap @ the convenience of that was kind of lost on me when I was there lol)
Went to Popular and didn't buy anything... At this point, it's like I go there just to test how strong I am against their books XD... honestly, it's an easy win because full-priced books are just urggh! (also doesn't help that I'm like in a state of mind where I'm suspicious of how good the books are, the more popular the more I find them suspicious...)

Apparently today is one of those rare(?) days where I'm very accepting of receiving calls on my phone XD

One was related to something that happened yesterday. I received a message about someone giving me RM50 as refund for something. Thinking it was just another scam/spam stuff I ignored/blocked it. I did check my bank account just in case but nothing. Today that person called me and told me they had transferred RM50 to my TNG account by mistake! My first thought was, "Oh, so that's why the screenshot looks like that" lol... I don't use TNG that often (& I never transferred funds to someone) so that's a new experience to me today. Later, I asked for the person's phone number and name so that I can return the money to them. I guess it's understandable how the mistake could happen because I also almost made the same mistake (only one number different)... one has to always remember to check the name of the account!

Another call was for a Foodpanda order. *sigh* Maybe because it's public holiday, the restaurant kept running out of food (lol)...

Finished reading Vol 2 of "Last Boss Queen" today. I've reached the part where the anime ends with. Tears... were shed (lol) but it's not as bad as Vol 1. Starting Vol 3, I'll be in unfamiliar territory. I'm aware of a certain major spoiler so I guess it's going to move towards that direction...? I'm soooo not ready...! But, I'll still read on because I want to meet the other love interests (I think there are three more? Considering Gil is a hidden route love interest)

Also finished an e-book that I started last year... on Dec 28th... bwahaha! I was a day away to it being 1 year even though it just took me an hour or so to finish it today lol

Airplane Mode Again

Oof I got a shady call today telling me (in automated operator voice) about an unclaimed PosLaju package. When it started telling me to press what and what number I hang up... it was calling from a normal-looking mobile phone number so that's surely not legit! Blocked the number straight away after that.

I'm pretty sure I don't have any unclaimed packages since I'm not expecting any (at least, not today). They usually don't call like this!

Found a post on r/Malaysia about it and apparently they'll ask your IC number, name and address...? And there are worse stuff that could happen if it gets further... like WTF! It's usually my other number that gets calls like these but now it has reached the number I use for official stuff. Seriously.

*SIGH*

I guess it's fortunate that the delivery men usually use WhatsApp nowadays since I'm going to put that phone on airplane mode for at least three days lol

Short, uh, updates...

♢ The two [VERY CUTE] black kittens were capable(?) enough to climb on (that, or the mother did it) the fence back to neighbour's house so nothing major. Neighbour's cat was just introducing her kittens to ~~another food source~~ us, I guess :P

♢ Made a Letterboxd account yesterday on random lol... I'm a bit surprised that the usual handle I use online ("ruyanda") is still available! Currently I'm trying to log all the movies I've watched (at least the one I remember watching lol) in the past there~

♢ I guess it is a month of window-shopping on Shopee XD... Now I'm looking at reading journals - there aren't much but they exist (and for sale!) on Shopee! Speaking of reading journals, I should probably update my months-abandoned reading journal *sigh*...

♢ Last night I've made a list of books I could or would want to read before the year ends... which I just realised a bit later that it's basically a TBR list lol......

Broken Bowl

Broke a ceramic bowl by accident today. It's not the expensive kind but still... it's making me a bit sad. Tried fixing it with a strong glue (currently waiting for it to dry) since it actually looks pretty fine other than it breaking into two large pieces lol... I think it can still be used for non-food stuff. Also did the same with the broken plate from before but I haven't found what to do with it haha

Contrary to what I said yesterday, I finished reading "What You Are Looking for is in the Library" in the afternoon. Read one story(chapter) before falling asleep. Finished the remaining last story today. I think it's a pretty chill read. Not really life-changing (might be for other people) but still a good read - a standard solid good read - by being just efficient enough.

Yesterday I did some tiny cleaning (which just involved the bed area really lol) in my room and that, unsurprisingly, made it very comfortable to sleep at night. Is this a sign for me to do more?

*sigh* What I really need to do is deal with the dust (haaaah~~~)... but because I suspect I have dust allergy, I'm forever dreading to clean them. I don't like having sneezing fits until my cheeks hurt :(

...I know I can start small but I really don't wanna~~~

Gah~ I ended up using the RM20 in my PayPal account to pay for Bookxcess' shipping! Can't help it... one of the books has only one copy left *sigh*

Speaking of PayPal.. maybe it's a good idea to keep RM20 there so that I can use on Bookxcess when needed. I'm aware that it's basically the same thing but it might hurt less (psychologically lol) when I don't have to think about the RM20 shipping in the future.

Just finished reading my first Seishi Yokomizo book (finally!). I started on book four lol since that's what I can get for cheap under RM20 on Amazon Kindle few months ago. Didn't really ruin the experience though... they did mention the Honjin case but nothing's spoiled (I think). Anyway, I'm [surprisingly] very mad about the motives so when I predicted the plot twist and it turned true, that gave me comfort(?)... still mad though.

...and it happened! Again.. Still having a stuffy nose but as of today, I've lost my sense of smell. I did notice how I was less sensitive to certain smell yesterday - I can still smell strong ones but the weaker ones were barely there - so I guess it was already partially gone yesterday?

Urggh

Had a very restless sleep. Thanks to having a mild fever (still a fever) and runny nose. *sigh* And that also makes it hard to enjoy reading or watching anything because my brain can't deal with the complexities(?). Gah. I haven't tried it yet but I might try to sleep while watching some familiar animer/cartoon shows~

Also feeling very irritable. Some things just make me want to say urggh...

Just my luck

Throat is feeling better today but now I have stuffy and runny nose. Just my luck! Also feeling a bit feverish. I'm suspecting it's a sinus thing because I don't feel as sick as in the past... hopefully I'm not raising any [severe] sickness flag by saying this *shivers*

Finished reading "Before We Say Goodbye" though. I don't know why... I find the ones featuring any unmarried BF-GF couples' stories have annoying GF for some reason (but I still cried nonetheless. F*ck. Don't really like the ones with deaths). Also, a stuffy and runny nose makes it easy to cry lol
