3.1 so far is... WOW.

I was expecting the usual stuff, similar to 3.0 main quests, and get some breadcrumbs of Rover lore. Oh gosh how wrong I was. What I got are big doses of Rover lore...! As a Rover main, this makes me soooo happy~

And they brought back Court of Savantae! I was hoping they'll bring that back! I suspect Xiangli Yao's father is there because didn't he mention stars in Yao's resonator showcase??? I've always wished that we'll get a Xiangli Yao companion quest where we join him looking for traces of his father.

New bosses are quite annoying to fight, but that might be because I'm not used to them yet... Ooooh but they're humanoid and have great lore behind them! 

Anyway, this main quest have a bittersweet ending. Less [just] sad, more bittersweet. I still cried though, not buckets, but they are still tears. I couldn't continue exploring the new area after that. We are reminded by how surely and hopeful Rover is about getting her back so no need to be too depressed for the time being... but the feeling do lingers. So yeah... fun times ahead whenever I re-play them in my alternate accounts and when I see other people's playthrough. I haven't heard the EN voice for FRover's but the MRover was so good. He sounded like he's holding back tears, it's sooo good. 

Also, from what Luuk & Aemeath said: Past Rover might be less expressive than the current Rover. They probably is [emotionally] numb...and/or slightly depressed... maybe??? Interestingly, I thought Rover is a bit like Aemeath in the Black Shores arc. Like what happened in that secret room. Although maybe that's just a side of them the public saw. That might also mean the Rover in Lahai-Roi is post-Black Shores???

Another interesting thing is the introduction of time-travelling. Could that be the cause of Rover losing their memories?

And Rover's homeland... I see most people's reaction to this is something like anger over not letting Rover visit their homeland when they're homesick (basically)... BUT... You know.. usually SciFi stories that involve space travelling to a new place... these kinds of stories usually means it's a one-way journey. And most of the time it's because the "homeland" is not fit for living anymore (or dying, probably Threnodian-related?) so they need to relocate their people. Rover might be that person who do reconnaissance. And the sentinels are for terraforming purposes... My point is, they probably couldn't go back because the "homeland" might already be destroyed.

I can't wait for the next phase!!! Can't help expecting more Rover lore from Luuk~

 

And I ended up getting her weapon! I just did like one 10-pull on the first day and one single pull the day after...!

Updates, updates~

Seems like there are lot to look forward to in the next patch! Although there is that one event that is surely making people talk (Moonlit Path event)... which I'm glad that I don't have to see much in my youtube feed. I think that's more geared to those who just started or returned to the game so that they can catch up while they spend (with some extra for the usual players of course)... I'm tired of seeing people complaining because they are comparing WuWa with other similar games for that.. nowadays I don't even bother read those posts and comments anymore unless they mention PGR 🙄😐

Anyway... yup, more rerun banners I have to skip 😭 because I'm aiming for both Aemeath and Luuk... 

Hahh... so second half story is lore-heavy main story. Rover is again known as the arbiter here so that means we get Rover lore too~ At this point, I suspect that it's a bit like DWJ's "Deep Secret" (if we ever go that way, that's my recommendation for "If you like this game, read this" prompt). 

Mornye is... okay. I do think she's a bit reckless and selfish (you can see that in her resonator showcase, and later in the ending of second half), but not really in a bad way... more like in a "For Science!" kind of way. It makes her character more human and honestly, I don't hate it.

Oh, the temptation is so bad... I'm surprisingly fine with getting Mornye next time (no rush!) but Iuno... I want Iuno for my Augusta. She might even work with a Lynae & Xiangli Yao team, damn it! The temptation is so real! I actually did a 10-pull in the beginning but no gold in sight. Then yesterday, I was tempted again (for both Mornye & Iuno) and fortunately, after a few 10-pulls, I get nothing. Now I just hope my astrites survive for the next patch lol

So that's my convene "update" for my main account.

My Fenn account lost 50/50 but I've gathered enough to get a guaranteed Mornye. Funnily, that account got her weapon early haha (no screenshot for weapon because as usual, I was too surprised to take one lol)

Used the guarantee for Mornye in my RuRu account. Was planning to let her use Discord but changed my mind later. Basically went all in on her weapon XD

 

Really had fun with this one, especially when done on the motorbike. Few memorable ones are the one involving the robots: 

One quest had you help make a franken-mechascout...

...and the other was to complete its bucket list (T_T). This one is a tearjerker.

And the urban legend quests! I totally expected that ending lol but it's still so good when I see it confirmed.

We'll start this post with something random I want to list out... 

Reasons I convene:

I finally got Phrolova (well, guaranteed)... for my Heavy ATK resonators XD~

Got her to Level 90 and all skills maxed out on Day 1—I was so prepared I even had her echoes all ready to go. Used her in the current ToA's middle tower straight away and finally got full 36/36 crests for the latest ToA. I was hoping she would help in the last two floors and I wasn't left disappointed. I do wish to get her signature weapon but with my recent red numbers record, I probably shouldn't expect much. She's stuck with Augment (at least it's R5) for now. I do have Stringmaster but I'm not really a fan of sharing weapons so I guess that can be an emergency option later on (Yes, I still use Yinlin sometimes)... Augment seems to work just fine for her.  

Phrolova joins the red number club XD... Oh yeah, losing 50/50 doesn't hurt that much when it happens early (T_T)

Fortunately, along the way, I managed to get Buling (only one copy though)... I only got her boss ascension materials ready so for now I can only get her to Level 90... Honestly, I was half-half on whether I could get her because for some reason, whenever you're aiming for 4-stars, it will be very hard to get. I did some pulls in my alternate accounts but none have gotten Buling yet.

I also pulled for Phrolova on my speedrun-husbando account because why not? I have Qiuyuan S1 there. Got pretty lucky in getting her signature weapon early... so it's back to hoarding astrites for Luuk XD

I'm low-key excited for the new area! It's very sci-fi themed and it makes the Mass Effect fan in me happy. One of the quest (exploration, I think?) also sounds like it's inspired by Death Stranding (haven't played it yet but I've seen other people's playthroughs).

Hmmm... It's worrying that Iuno is one of the rerun banners but I'm going to pull for Lynae first. Then her signature weapon, if possible. Lynae's JP seiyuu is Inoue Marina (she voiced Kyoko in Skip Beat! anime) so that made me more motivated XD. I always forget that she's in PGR (Vera) too lol. Gosh... dare I hope that they'll get Konishi Katsuyuki too in the future?

I do have interest in Mornye but I've decided that I'll try getting her next time. Might have to skip Iuno if Luuk is coming in 3.1...

Yup... I managed to get Jinhsi (& an extra)!!!

If you must know, I was in a hot spring when I did four 10-pulls (also another 10-pull at a different time & got an extra Jinhsi)

Although I must note that it's amazing that I reached Union Level 45 without utilising my echoes properly haha... I'm learning! I guess it's a bit of a blessing in disguise (doubtful!) because I haven't been upgrading them much, only the active ones, but even with that I still didn't have enough materials... and it was very expensive before the 1.1 update :/

There's also the kindle route (the price range is RM30-50 per volume) but I want something physical though, for things I love.

The most expensive (RM22) one in this pile is the manga! Which is understandable because it's pretty much still in a good condition (and less than half the original price!). The others are pretty random choices. Though I picked "Tempests and Slaughter" because Tamora Pierce is one of the authors recommended to DWJ fans... so I'll try reading that later.

Games
I really couldn't forget the feeling of playing nonograms lol... I did find a few of them on Steam so that's settled(?) for now :P. It isn't very fun to play on the phone so I prefer the ones I can play on PC.


Oh yeah... saw that both Orwell games were (are?) on sale so I ended up getting those too. I can't wait to replay them!

Currently, I'm low-key obsessed with the game "Wuthering Waves"~!... It's so funny how it happened XD

I first saw it became available on Epic Store & was curious enough to install it but didn't go through with the full installation (I didn't have enough disk space). Then I saw someone I subscribed to on Youtube played it on stream and got interested. 

Anyway, one of the characters that I could play (can you believe it? I managed to get Jiyan & Calcharo!) as is someone that has dragon(?) power. I play the game using Japanese audio so imagine my surprise when I see who Jiyan's voice actor is... Ono Yuki! His voice sounded deeper than the ones I usually heard of him so I'm kind of disappointed I didn't guess it's him (but still super happy!).. The only one I recognised is Lingyang (Hanae Natsuki).

As of now, I've done the main story (whatever is available for now). I don't know if it's the best (or worst?) time (hormotional) for me to play the game because I cried doing some of the side quests.. seriously, what the heck was that? Usually it's the ones that caught me off-guard that made me cried buckets (like that one grandpa that wanted to get some cool echoes to court someone :P)

Kind of organised a bit the towers of books I kept procrastinating to do and now they are half their original heights. I returned books I already read (and some unread) to the bookshelf. Got reminded again how I'm out of bookshelf space... ahhh I don't want to think about it anymore

Unfortunately, didn't manage to finish any books last week XD

Ahhh now I want to read the manga again... What a good timing it is that I got the light novels to read later as well (there's also the web novels, I guess I can read that after I run out of light novels to read)... it's like my subconscious mind knows there's going to be an anime in the future (no, of course lol).
