A Sad Day

*looooooooong sigh*

Started the day with a very sad news. Haaah...

Oh yeah. It was also a day of getting to places with air-conditioners because that's a perfectly good reason to get out of the house...

Finally had the chance to go to the SPCA KK Charity Shop at Karamunsing. Purchased these three books for RM10:

Pretty much a random bunch...

Dragonfly Falling - Do I dare start reading from Book 2? Of course! ...Although I'm not really in the mood to read this now so...
The Guest List - Sounds like something I would enjoy reading (mystery/ thriller)!
Guide to Grammar - Ah yes, I've wanted something like this as a refresher for some time already... lucky that I found this today

At this moment, I'm suffering from [sudden] runny nose (and that feeling of wanting to sneeze but couldn't). Been dealing with some dust-related activities yesterday so that might (or might not?) be the cause? I just hope the pain won't reach my cheeks... I really don't like it when that happens...

7th Time Loop anime is starting tomorrow but unfortunately it's not available for Malaysian audience on Muse Asia's channel --- it makes me soooo sad! It's possible that it might be available in the future but that means I can't watch it as soon as possible.... Unless... *mumbles* it's not like I need English subs anyway *mumbles*

I am still kind of in an anime watching slump so I guess it's fine (for now) but I still don't like not having access to something I want. It just makes me obsess on it more :(

I could spend those time re-reading the light novels (and web novel!)... Re-reading the manga last month did make me want to go back to that Rishe and Arnold's world again...

Yesterday I did some tiny cleaning (which just involved the bed area really lol) in my room and that, unsurprisingly, made it very comfortable to sleep at night. Is this a sign for me to do more?

*sigh* What I really need to do is deal with the dust (haaaah~~~)... but because I suspect I have dust allergy, I'm forever dreading to clean them. I don't like having sneezing fits until my cheeks hurt :(

...I know I can start small but I really don't wanna~~~

Been playing a lot of [& only] Silver matches recently (I think I'm getting used to it!) on Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer and today I suddenly got dropped into a Gold(!) match. It actually went well! It felt a bit harder than Silver's but still quite manageable... I'm fully aware, of course, this can only happen if we have a full 4-player team, and everyone knows what they're doing.

I've made some nice progress with reading "Jane in Love"... really loved Jane [Austen] as a character here. Didn't really vibe with the other female main character until later. I'll probably finish it tonight or tomorrow. Kind of expecting a bittersweet ending (if we're following the true history) but I might be wrong (hopefully).

Noticing some small things that I usually just ignore but I find a bit annoying today.

A scene from a movie: Someone says "I believe in you" while shaking their head. I guess it doesn't has to mean that but it's hard not to be suspicious of their motives because I'm used to the negative meaning
High-pitched voices. ...my problem, it's a preference thing.
Starting new books... more than it being annoying, I just find it troublesome really lol
Starting multiple books... This seems to contradict the point before this but hear me out. Recently, I kind of have the urge to start a few at the same time but I don't want to do that! At least not now... (no, wait... it might be fine? should I just commit book affairs?)

I'm still in the middle of watching the final episode of CMBF... ahhhh I feel like crying (T_T) because I couldn't listen to most of the songs they performed (especially one song that featured Nicholas Teo *sobs*)... probably copyright (& broadcasting) rights again??? So weird to hear they sing without music... Usually the performances just got cut or muted but this time it's the voice-only variant..for some reason it's more annoying seeing that (especially after seeing how much efforts were put into erasing the music parts... Of course, I understand why they had to do that but surely I can still be annoyed about it!)

Haaah... Today I'm grateful that I can at least listen to all songs in Season 2's final episode *so sad*

Had a very restless sleep. Thanks to having a mild fever (still a fever) and runny nose. *sigh* And that also makes it hard to enjoy reading or watching anything because my brain can't deal with the complexities(?). Gah. I haven't tried it yet but I might try to sleep while watching some familiar animer/cartoon shows~

Also feeling very irritable. Some things just make me want to say urggh...

Throat is feeling better today but now I have stuffy and runny nose. Just my luck! Also feeling a bit feverish. I'm suspecting it's a sinus thing because I don't feel as sick as in the past... hopefully I'm not raising any [severe] sickness flag by saying this *shivers*

Finished reading "Before We Say Goodbye" though. I don't know why... I find the ones featuring any unmarried BF-GF couples' stories have annoying GF for some reason (but I still cried nonetheless. F*ck. Don't really like the ones with deaths). Also, a stuffy and runny nose makes it easy to cry lol

On to S2!

Woke up with a dry throat today. It's most probably due to dehydration... but it might be also the sick kind so let's wait and see. Currently, it's just a bit feeling of discomfort (but still annoying haaaaah).

Oh yeah, I finally finished re-watching first season of "The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent". Had to skip scenes with Kyle because I can't stand any clown princes at this moment. Also, skipped Aira scenes when she's still with Kyle's entourage. I guess her character is fine - at least she's not a cockroach b*tch - but I really don't have a great impression of her character (very unfortunate) so I have no interest in watching her before she leaves Kyle side.

Also started on the second season (aww.. I'm just two months late lol) straight away and I'm surprised to see the opening scene! I guess we'll at least reach that arc in this season (including that one important scene, just because I saw it in the teaser... it most probably will be in the final episode).

Forgot to mention this yesterday: Couple days ago, I got dropped into a gold match (that I thought was silver) but we survived until extraction. It's funny how I didn't think about it until few waves later when I realised there were too many Banshees XD

Made some progress to some books I'm currently reading. I consider that a win because today I couldn't stay focused for so long. I kept feeling the need to do something else while in the middle of something, even though I'm not sure what that something else is... It's almost like I'm restless or something similar to that.

22 days... I also just realised it has been 22 days since June lol. Maybe it's time to archive this goal? I started tracking from last year's September. So archiving it after a year seems like a nice way to conclude(?) this very big goal. [Oh yeah, notice that I changed it to 4 days a week? I figured it shouldn't be a problem as long as it's over 20 days...]

Barely done anything for my small goal so I'm going to continue the same goal this month.

That means this month's goals will be the same with last month's...

I usually add another goal when it's continued from last month but I'm not going to do that this time. I just don't wanna do it :P

Uhhh, so I just finished reading "Zodiac"... and it's bad. I don't find the main character interesting so it has been hard reading the last half of the book. Seriously, WTF are you doing, Rho????? Is this a joke? It really doesn't help that she hasn't been a very convincing character from the beginning... like I was seriously a bit worried when she was chosen to be what she became in the early chapters.

And the ending was terrible. F*ck. As if I need to be convinced how much more she can f*ck things up... ah I'm so mad with her!

...here's hoping that the other three books have a different protagonist(s) because I don't really want to be in her head again.

*sigh* I know... I'll read them anyway but urggh I don't think I can trust her anymore. What a joke.

Took me some time to finish both parts. Kind of sad that I can't watch certain performances (due to copyright issues I guess). Anyway.. dunno why I'm not vibing with this new season, the performances were interesting but... something is missing...?

Random thoughts of the day...

✖ Picking a book by its cover
Been watching some book haul videos on Youtube. Suddenly had the thought that I would be so mad with a book that has a very nice cover but is not a good read. Like, that will feel like a fraud to me.

✖ Reading slump ≠ Buying books
I just love how these two co-exist in my current life XD. I don't wanna read more [physical] books... but I do want to buy more books, thank you very much. *sigh* There is some good in it though, I think I'm more picky because I'm distrustful at the same time.

✖ Quiet time
I usually like to listen to music while I read but I find them distracting recently. Sometimes I would prefer playing music without lyrics...

✖ Anime
I might have watched/followed too many this season... most of them are already near the end and I seem to have gotten bored of few of them (and super annoyed by one of them). I will still watch them until the end but I probably won't focus much and will use the 2x speed feature on Youtube more often.

Quite surprised by J&T recently. Been getting them again for some of my Shopee purchases and they arrived here pretty fast. I guess they are doing/did something to improve their service here in KK.

I started reading a fantasy book few days ago and I'm again bothered by descriptions. I guess it's more suitable to call them over-description? Gah! I know it's impossible to not have them.. but.. *haah* maybe my problem isn't really with descriptions. Maybe it's just the way they are written. Maybe I don't like the writing style. Maybe my bar is too low... an appropriate amount for others might be too much for me?

Anyway, so I powered through the few chapters in the beginning (fortunately they are pretty short chapters) and reached a part where it got more exciting: the part where a lot of people died (it's pretty much still the beginning so I don't think it's a big spoiler)... ahh I feel mean but that's the way it is now. It's still bearable as of now... *sigh* I'll probably just skim-read through those over-description if needed.
