I have posts on this same day and month in 2010 and last year.

2010's post wasn't anything worthy of mentioning but lol.. imagine living through two kinds of Wordle on the internet XD. In the past, wordle.net was a website where you can make that word cloud thing. Now it's a word game that I started playing since January this year.

Last year's post was about an idea I have... which remains unwritten today.

...if I ever want to write about my working experience in a toxic, highly-stressed work environment, it would be something like "Catch-22".

I did, like, expand the idea in my head. I don't think I can use the same setting with my old workplace but it will be something similar. I'm dying to use some conversations inspired from real conversations I had with toxic people there. 

Ooh... also thought a bit more on this. But I don't want it to be too obvious so the supernatural thing will be like a background thing. Still thinking how to fit the murder plot into the story.


Finally finished "Walaupun Aku Ada Sayap..." today. Loved the short stories. Even though two of them were from the PoV of my least favourite character, I still loved them. The second story ("Pantulan Cermin") explained why Ibara Mayaka treated Hotarou poorly. I actually wondered about that in a post - didn't think I'll get the answer from this novel this time. The fifth story ("Cuti Panjang") explained why Hotarou is the way he is, which I liked because... he actually sounds a bit like me...? 

Anyway, I ended up loving his character more and now I'm sad because there's no more after this... (Checked here and saw a link to the author's tweet about Volume 7!!!)

Ah... I wanna read the original Japanese version too...

Glad to hear that. 

Of course, I'll still be cautious. 


Couldn't sleep last night so I ended up reading "Walaupun Aku Ada Sayap..." until morning. I really enjoyed the short stories in this one. Might finish it soon.

Waited for DHL the whole afternoon but they never came. Hours later, got notified via Whatsapp that they already got delivered. Apparently DHL came around 8pm lol

Saw Jack Edwards' latest video before the 2nd sleep...erm, session, and it got me thinking how does one spend 24 hours reading? (I guess this is what people also call 24-hour readathon ...?). From what I saw on Youtube, thankfully, it doesn't look rigid(?)... you still eat and stuff. If I'm thinking of doing it, in my case, it would be no watching stuff on Youtube/TV/Netflix/etc and no game-playing - maybe - and a whole day spent mostly on reading. I might be able to do this if I'm the younger version of me but now... maybe not. I always worry about not getting enough sleep... & I see this like going the opposite way of remedying that. You can still sleep though when doing that 24-hour thing, one might say... Yeah, sure. I just don't want to encourage late-night reading (for me anyway) although I keep doing it when I said I want to do less of it *sigh*... Anyway, this is just me throwing out the idea here. 

I might do or have done it unknowingly. Which is... yeah, I don't really have a point here, do I? It's an interesting idea, I'm not keen on doing it [consciously]... and that's all. End of post.

Not finished with it as of now. Maybe tonight. 

Also... been window-shopping bookmarks again :P (what else, huh). I told myself "I don't need these!" and then add them into my cart... 

...that's how shopping is now, damn it! It really doesn't help that the prices are really cheap. "I'm just gonna add this to cart to see how much the shipping is..." *sigh* Yeah, right...

I've been thinking of Tsugaru again. Who tf is Tsugaru, you say? You don't need to know who that is. Just another fictional character I'm enamoured with recently. He's one of the reasons I went window-shopping for bookmarks (he loves his Little Hare@Usa-chan XD). I'm also thinking of painting one of his CG images as a bookmark just because I want to.

OH YEAH. Had a super weird dream again. With school or uni people again, but this time someone or something is (are) killing us. I think I survived in the end (with some people) but I recalled feeling so stressed because that thing just randomly do their deeds. You never know what triggers them.  

Haven't finished reading "I'd Die For You and Other Lost Stories". 

It's fine. Really.

Haven't finished reading "Dubliners" too.

Which is fine too.

I don't know what is it with short stories... I seem to take longer time to read them. Maybe because when I reach the next story, I have to like reset my mind again because it's a new story. 

Good news is, I finished the fourth book in the Kotenbu series (coincidentally, it's also a collection of short stories) last night. That makes it possible to choose a new book from the jar tomorrow. Really looking forward to that! 

And I totally abandoned sleep to finish "Phi Alpha Pi" that I borrowed from the national library. It's not even worth losing sleep for! I just ended up finishing it haaahh. Fortunately, I slept the whole morning off after that [to compensate(?)]. 

I'll try to finish those two books next week. I have a feeling that I'll procrastinate reading if I let it go on longer than a month...

On Palace: It has reached the part where Fourth Prince erm... changed.. so he's a bit more pleasant in recent episodes. Eighth Prince is still not so likeable to me.

That's from the second light novel of the Kotenbu series (I keep forgetting that Hyouka is the first novel and not the name of the whole novel series). 

Irisu-senpai still makes me a bit uncomfortable. In the anime, I don't like watching what she did to Houtarou. But... I get what she did. I might had done something similar in the past but I want to believe that I'm not as bad as her. That's too much effort (therefore troublesome :P)... I'll just see her as a character that reminds me of this: "I could've been something worse".

Reading "Bridget Jones's Diary" next.

Yeah... so I finished Hyouka's first light novel (translated into Malay). The anime really follows the book closely *very impressed*. Everything sounds the same except... I feel like Chitanda is a different person. I fear that her personality is lost in translation. For now, I think it's because of how she's written in Semenanjung Malay - she sounds ruder than the Chitanda I'm used to. It's weird because everyone else sounds just like how they are in the anime, only Chitanda is problematic to me. Maybe I need to attempt-read the original Japanese to check (if I ever buy them in the future). 

Other than that, I think it's not bad at all. I don't hate the experience (except the Chitanda part). I mean I need to because I have 5 more books in the series XD. The conclusion to the mystery still left me in tears (only a bit lol).

So that leaves me with four more books. I gathered them after I was done with Hyouka LN #1 and realised that "Six Four" is quite thick. 643 pages. I'm kind of scared. *nervous smile*

I'm reading "Fire and Hemlock" next.
