Tried yam soup with chinese herbs today for the first time. I actually like it...? I never realise you can make savoury soup with yam like that. It's not even clear soup. Maybe will experiment [cooking] with yam like that in the future.
Anyway~~~~~ On this day... I posted thrice in the past on the same month & day! Two posts in 2008 & one post in 2009.
One of the 2008 posts was just me "self-talking" so I'll skip that. The other one is titled "Moving On" *questioning-myself eyes*
Do anyone notice how we often dread ourselves with unnecessary fears before something bad happened?... hoping that the world will split and swallow you up or you suddenly drop dead (literally) on that inauspicious moment... And then when it really happen, nothing really happened. You are still breathing. It didn't kill you.
I... I don't know what to say to this. Also, that's the only thing I'll quote from the post. This post was made when I was at my rebellious stage as a teenager(?). It's kind of a dark greyish post. In the end, it didn't work out. I don't even have any words of wisdom to add to that. Maybe just this: Perseverance is a double-edged sword. There are times when you need to let go and just stop. Maybe I could end up differently if I throw my so-called positivity "I'll do my best" away when I was studying Math in uni and study something else.
Okay.. getting dark here so I'll end it there XD.
2009 post - "Happy Thoughts"
Oooh this was when I started driving lessons.
I'll just say this shamelessly. I know I'm a smart person but I'm also very lazy. It's always 0 or 100 for me. If I started on a project early I could finish it faster than anyone else but when I did it last minute... I may be the last person to hand it in.*Stupid, stupid bad habits*That's one more thing to change about myself.
So... there are no changes in that department haha. When I was still working, I prioritised finding the most efficient way to finish my tasks so that I can laze around later. So yeah. Still lazy. But will work in an efficient way.
I finished "Emma" a few days ago. Finally. I started on Feb 23rd... and it took me one month to finish reading it. Luckily I don't hate Emma. I'm neutral to the title character. Till the end, I'm still loving Mr Knightley!
This is a sign. I must read "Emma" again this year.
If you look at my last.fm profile, Jonas Brothers has taken over NEWS in my "Top Artists" chart![...]This is only a fever/crush or.. something. It will go away, eventually.
Bwahahaha.. this was before I became an Arashi fan! Though I'm more like a backseat fan now (what does that even mean lol). Currently, my all-time top artist on last.fm is Arashi (嵐).
P/s: So tempted to make "Let's Not Start a Cluster" as the title because of local current news. I was actually acting more indifferent end 2020/early 2021 but after reading that book, I'm starting to make mean and snarky remarks again at home. History has shown how stupid people are during pandemic, again and again. It's making me a bit depressed knowing that this will never change.
