Pick-A-New-Book Jar
|
Reading
I woke up early today lol
I finished "The Food of the Gods" few days ago. For some reason, it gave me "Frankenstein" vibes (but it's not in epistolary format). Maybe it's the theme... like creating something you shouldn't create through science. It might be symbolism for other things (I'm thinking generation gaps or things that new generations use but despised by the older generations). Didn't really enjoy it... all I can say, don't read this as your first Wells book.
Now I'm a bit worried if the writing style will make it hard to read his other books (I have a few unread ones in my shelf *sigh*).
New rule! If I get the same author from the jar, I can choose to not read that now. I'm tired... I'll just put it back into the jar...
*picks a title from jar*
I got... Virginia Woolf's "Orlando"~
A book I mentioned in this post last August.
Fortunately, it's under 300 pages this time. Never read any of her works before (as far as I can recall), so this will be the first one. (Honestly though, kind of feeling nervous...)
