Dumping my MFP-rewatch/watch thoughts here:
- Since I know the story already, I'm acting like "Oh you will be fine" when they show the characters suffering. Also "Foreshadowing!!!!" lol
- I saw some comments on YT about people romanticizing the life in forbidden palace (because of more recent tv dramas)... and after seeing MFP, I can confirm that I don't share the same sentiment. Oof life is (was) hard there... I'll probably die before I can learn all the rules.
- The main theme of all three series is: Keeping secrets from the Emperor
- It's available on Youtube with English subtitles. I've started watching there after dimsum.my's demise today.

- Ertai is so underappreciated
- Just kind of realised that one character accidentally shot his future wife with an arrow while the other arrested his future wife for disrupting peace
- Mild crush on Erkang
- Mild crush on the emperor (he's so cool and clever!)
(MFP 2)
- I love Qing'er
- Qing'er is best girl
- Emperor is still cool but.. I can't deal with the scenes with Han Xiang
- Meeting Han Xiang & Meng Dan are the MFP gang's misfortune
- Han Xiang & Meng Dan are my least favourite characters. Also least favourite couple.
- Lovesick Erkang only has Ziwei in his eyes & heart so no more mild crushing
- Fatherly emperor is cool (That tears...! Superb acting by Zhang Tielin! So going to miss him when watching MFP3)

- I'm just going to imagine everyone who looked different was kidnapped by aliens and then returned to earth differently (kidding :P)
- Ziwei looks motherly
- Yongqi & Xiao Yanzi looking more like a married couple
- ...still watching this so maybe more thoughts later?
