But today I'm glad that I could still make a good(?) decision, even when I'm in zombie mode... like purchasing a book before it got sold out in the afternoon! Well, I guess I should've expected that because it had two copies left before I checked out the order. 

Damn, was I the reason (the trigger? lol) that the last copy was gone after me??? Sometimes I do receive e-mails from BookXcess about the books I put in the cart ("Oops, the items in your cart are going fast!") Lol I even got one for the book today - I guess it got triggered as soon as I added it to the cart - so maybe someone also decided to get it fast before they lose their chance today. Or maybe they were also like me who suddenly decided recently, "Hey, I wanna read some H. P. Lovecraft stories. I never read one before, even though I've watched many game playthroughs that were inspired by his stories..."

I didn't really have many choices. A similarly-priced book on Shopee has less stories.. I did find the same book for a cheaper price there but I missed out on buying it 😓. They're either not in stock or too expensive on Kino. Oh well. 

To be honest, I do have some of his works on my Kindle but I kind of prefer having a physical book if we're dealing with short stories here. Short story collections seem to intimidate me more when they're in digital form 😭... it feels never-ending and takes longer than it should to finish them. The downside is I'm stuck with a large, fancy-looking book of short stories collection... I sure hope that I'm compatible with the writing style!... Yes, yes I know, I can check them online but I want it to be a surprise(?), and it's kind of a '0 or 100' thing - a 'don't read at all or read a lot of them' situation - so that's why we're at this point today~ 

Will this year be the year I'm finally reading more books from the horror genre???
