I finished reading "Flowers for Algernon" hours ago. Fortunately, I don't think I'm emotionally-ruined (but I understand why one can end up that way). I did cry near the end. Definitely recommend that you read this at least once if you have the opportunity (go in blind, don't read much about what it's about). Read that it's required reading in some schools around the world.  Apparently, it's what they study now in Malaysia's schools (saw this on Shopee) - the play version(?) that is.
