Books. More books.
So... the first two above are the ones I purchased on Carousell. The books are huge! Probably will take me 2 hours to read 100 pages. Stumbled upon the series while looking for books to buy on Bookxcess last year. They were out of stock at that time. Fortunately this year, I found someone selling the first two books in the series on Carousell. I don't even know if I like the writing style so this is really me testing the water here. Reason of wanting to read: I'm curious about the theme. Since I'm playing one of Voltage Inc's otome games with the zodiac theme (FYI it's "Star-Crossed Myth" - and my favourites are Karno ♋, Huedhaut ♒ & Zyglavis ♎ *fangirling mode* /this post's title is slyly dedicated to them), I'm slightly interested in stars, zodiacs and things related to that. Very minor interest really. It's not like I check my horoscope daily etc. So yeah, I want to read the books because of that.
The other four are Big Bad Wolf books purchased via Shopee. They have the second volume of "Mass Effect: Foundation" comic series so... the purchase happened. "Eldest" is there because I'm trying to get the complete series (I have Eragon & Inheritance). "The Lathe of Heaven" and "Northwest of Earth" are random picks.

I finished reading "The Great Gatsby" today. Quite a melancholic book, huh. I almost find the titular character pitiful. I'm like, "All that love... for what?" Maybe I'm focusing on the wrong stuff here. But it isn't as bad as "Wuthering Heights", to which I'll surely answer "I don't like it." It's not like I'm against characters that show violent love for someone. Maybe I just don't like seeing their feelings wasted on someone who doesn't deserve them, someone who might not love them back.
By the way, I love the version I have (hardcover, palm-sized, smallish and the paper is like the thick version of bible paper) so I'm looking around BBW's shopee listing again to find other books with similar cover (pretty sure "Robinson Crusoe" is one of them oof I remembered wrongly).
Going to reread "Charmed Life" and "The Eyre Affair" next.
