Reading
I finished it. I didn't think I would be that interested in a story revolving around police office politics but that's what happened. Every chapter just ended up baiting me into the next chapter. I got so invested in reading about the drama behind the scene.
Since this book is a trade paperback, it took me longer to read. So my pace was like 100 pages for 1.5 hour..? A bit glad that I'm done with the longest book I've read this year but I still have "Catch-22" and "Fire and Hemlock" to finish. Of course, I'll add "The Last Lecture" to that too. It's the last book so why not, right?
Honestly, I'm not feeling that accomplished lol. Maybe that's just reading fatigue or something. Been craving easy reads so I have TSGS #1 for that.
So this is how it feels like to become a full-fledged book adulterer, I guess? I still have fears of reading slumps and leaving books unread halfway though so the guilt is there. As long as I don't overdo it, I think I'll be okay. Maybe three books IS my limit.
Oh yeah... I purchased books via Carousell recently and the seller just got back at me in the morning to tell that they already shipped the books. They actually messaged me last week that it will be done this week. Only today they accepted the deal. I never knew you can do that. That's pretty smart! Only accepting the deal when they can find time to post the thing out. Not being sarcastic here. I totally understand that it's hard to move around during this time. I'm truly impressed by this method being employed here. Again I stress that this is not me being sarcastic. I get so excited when I see people doing things in a smart way.
