Uh-huh. No water supply during the weekend (back to normal today). Had to take a raven's bath yesterday (either that or no bath at all lol).

It's okay, I guess. Very reminiscent of Phrolova's patch and Cantarella's companion quest combined. Quite fanservicy, in my opinion, but for Chisa fans and surprisingly, anime fans..? It's a bit of a me problem: I just recently recovered from my anime-watching slump so I'm still kind of sensitive to things that could bring me back to the slump (T_T). 

BUT we get some Rover lore in the end so I'm very satisfied! I can't wait to get to the next area (Lahai-Roi)!

Wasn't planning to pull for Chisa but I find her gameplay quite fun so I decided to go for it. Unfortunately, I got another copy of Jianxin (now she's S2)... & I'm fine with this result. Next time!

I'm going to keep the guarantee for Phrolova~

My backup-speedrun account got her (guaranteed) but in the same 10-pull, I managed to also lose my 50/50... so I guess it's another guarantee for whatever future banner I will pull. I decided to get her for this account because I wasn't confident that my Fenn account will be able to. I was proven wrong lol because that account won the 50/50 lol... Good thing is I think I can do the 2.8 main stories without finishing Rinascita's...? (haven't tried it yet though) So I should be able to level her up to Level 90.

I tried getting Iuno for my main account but no luck. Fenn account has her but no Augusta XD so I had to arrange the team creatively. At the end of the day, as long as any of my alternate accounts have a resonator that my main account don't, I can count that as I "have" them. So far, I haven't missed anyone. 

Then continued to Galbrena's banner (gosh I really wanted her after I did the main story) but alas... Encore S2 appeared. At 72nd pull. So mean (T_T). *sigh* Then I had to keep the guaranteed 5-star for Qiuyuan. Oh well. Next time, I guess. 

I waited until I got his signature weapon to include it in this post. And I got it at 69th pull... *I'm so tired* It has been three reds back-to-back for the weapons (T_T)

My Ruru account did managed to get Galbrena (with her weapon)... but that account couldn't afford Qiuyuan XD. My speedrun-husbando account of course got Qiuyuan (and his signature weapon). I used one weapon pull in my Fenn account and managed to get his weapon LOL. What luck!... indeed. I guess I'll get him next time in that account :P

I'm officially out of tuners~! Now I don't have to worry much about my echo XPs anymore because that will build up in my backpack. I guess this is the true Tacet field grinding.. oh wait, I might do more of the weekly one (Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways) just because I don't want to fill up my echoes inventory again XD

True story. Doing the whole Rinascita finale gave me Gamer's Elbow LOL. I was so locked in because I needed to know the ending. Fortunately it wasn't as bad as that one time I was too immersed into playing ME3 Multiplayer—that time I had very weak grip and I can feel lingering pain the whole time I had it. It was on my dominant hand/arm too. Started using vertical mouse since then.

Anyway... can't really say that I remember much of it, I feel like I'm still digesting the story XD. Avidius was memorable! Nah, I still don't hate Cristoforo that much. I love the final fight with everyone... that Fenrico (and the past Primuses, I guess) scene was great too. BTW I don't think of it as his redemption (it's more like fulfilling his duty from beyond). Sigh... sometimes I can't help but think that  Rinascita arc is full of tragedies. It's probably partly due to having more Threnodian influence.

But, hey, I do like an ending where everyone in Ragunna can be depressed(?) with me about Imperator. I seriously thought no one will know about Imperator so I love that we see a conclusion(?) to that. 

Damn! It's just a brief scene but I super love it! I guess it's more like Abby's lore...?

The last speech by Fractsidus in the end sounds like another hint to Rover's relation(?) with them. 

I'm not sure if it's reincarnation, regression or alternate world kind of thing but there's the lingering idea of having multiple lives throughout the world of Wuthering Waves. This is why Camellya's companion quest is one of my favourites because it showed that it's possible(?). Maybe, in one of those worlds or lives, Rover helped the creation/development of Fractsidus... as one of the possible solutions to her mission. Oooh I think if they ever make their lore/backstory as part of the main story it would be a major flashback kind of thing. If it's a flashback, they are free to make Rover as evil as needed... that would be exciting to see!

And I also feel like making the civilisation less dependent on Sentinels is a running(?) theme. Because with their presences, we also have their opposite equivalent: Threnodians. They both exist together. If you remove one, you remove the other too. 

It's all nice and great but again, I feel the same as before. 1.x main stories (yes, including 1.0!) are already great for me... so the whole 2.x main stories being good are just "business as usual" for me. It is as I expected them to do. Yes, there are some patches that I might like more than the others but they all pretty much got high scores from me. 

Maybe it's because I'm looking at this in a very eccentric way: The whole thing so far is just Rover's big main story... The big main story is about we getting to know Rover's past... whatever Rover do to help the people is merely side main stories.

I also love getting to know the world & history so I do hope they'll go into more about Black Shores... and Court of Savantae. 

Honestly? I'm looking forward to a cozy patch! Last year they had Illusive Realm in 1.4 and I actually couldn't finish them for my alternate accounts. End of year is usually a busy time so I'm hoping it won't be too heavy this year. Apparently there are those who complained about lack of combat events and here I am feeling glad because I've filtered out those content creators :P.. If I don't see it, I'll just pretend that it doesn't exist.

I've been reading... but most of the books I read this year are surely from flower-picking trips and the library. Damn. Didn't think I would be doing that much audiobook-listening in my life but here we are. I'm in my audiobook era, apparently. It's a very irresistible method when you dread opening a physical (& digital!) books but still want to do some reading. I still won't touch those heavy ones but the ones that's easy to follow and maybe a book I've read before are very much welcome. I usually listen to one while playing a game that doesn't demand my full attention or when doing the dishes. I got peer-pressured (something like this XD) into reading two audiobooks but it's okay, I would just return early if I don't plan to spend time reading them. A couple of audiobooks are just to accompany my slow physical reading journey...

Oh yeah, one of the audiobooks I finished was "Real Ghost Stories of Borneo 1". I never heard about this series before but it looks like the Borneo's version of TSGS so I thought that was cool! One of the stories talked about their experience in KK and described the hotel they went to as a white castle.. Jeez, I wonder which hotel is that? :P
But seriously though, I consider that place to be old (I went there when I was little) so I wouldn't be surprised if some stuff happened there.

I had a brief silly moment few weeks ago where I almost buy a second copy of "The Labyrinth House Murders"... totally saved by my LibraryThing (which is where I mainly catalogue books I own). I think it was partially me misremembering that what I meant to get is the one I got here. Highly recommend the site to anyone who has similar problems (or wants to avoid this) to use LT. I just started using it again back in 2020 when I realised I have a lifetime account (it used to have a limit on number of books you can add, if I'm not mistaken)... but then couple months later in the same year, they became free (no fees, no limits).  

Great news~ I'm kind of out of the watching slump? I guess that's thanks to Tondemo Skill S2! I've re-watched the whole S1 and still enjoyed it (most of the time with food). But I'm so rusty with my I-know-that-seiyuu game XD. It was a pleasant surprise to know that Elrand is voiced by Namikawa Daisuke, it's so fitting! I wish we can meet Gonji soon but I guess that would be in the next season. Even in the WN, if I remember correctly, there's a big time gap between Dora and Gonji. At least Dora is here! I really need to catch up with the WN... I might need to start from the beginning again...

Yeah... I managed to get on (visit? board?) the Doulos Hope when it's in town. Had to make reservation online. Kind of fortunate that I was able to do that the night before for August 29th's... Amazingly, I only purchased one book which is another hardcover version of Jane Eyre. When will I ever read "Jane Eyre" and "Emma"? It has been 4 years XD.. what's funny is, at the moment I'm typing this post I'm considering reading them on my Kindle (because I can highlight them there and revisit them in one place on Goodreads). Well, it might be possible to do hybrid reading...

Anyway, I remember the date because when we returned to Jesselton Quay (we rode on a bus to go to the port where they docked), we saw a lorry on fire.

Received these books on September 26th... and I remember the date again because it's the day for Wuthering Waves 2.7 preview livestream XD

Anyway, got Ciaccona's signature weapon... but at what cost?

Lol didn't expect to make a debut for PGR label in this post... though I don't see myself posting about it as much as WuWa in the future because I'm very on-off with the game...

WuWa updates before Iuno arrives...

Saw people complaining about Augusta's shield so I guess it's just for her sonata set/less interruption (like Ciaccona's?) kind of thing? Well, I'm still glad I pulled for her because while I'm still in the process of getting better echoes for her, I can already see her damage potential... I guess she's stuck with Mortefi for now because I'm not sure if I'm able to pull for Iuno seeing how I always go at least 70 pulls (and there's also the 50/50 *sigh*) 

So, to add to the draft above... I guess it's like I'm compensating for my lacklustre convene experience from 2.5 (lol): yes, I got my guaranteed Augusta and her signature weapon, both at 73rd and 72nd pulls, respectively. Though I didn't convene much for her weapon because I was actually near to getting one (because I did most during Lupa's and a few 10-pulls on Phrolova's... with no wins, obviously).

And... this week I just finished getting all her skills to 10 (yay!). As always, I still need to get better echoes for her (*sigh* it's the usual Echo xp problem again) but I'll focus on learning how to play her for now. I did get to 36/36 (yeah we have extra two floors now in the middle tower) the new Tower of Adversity with her team so I think I'm getting the hang of it lol

My wheel has picked Verina as the next resonator to max out her skills. I guess this might make many cringe because she doesn't need that actually because she's a support/healer but I'm going to do it anyway. I like to think of everyone as DPS (I'm aware they are not :P) so I want them to deal damage as best as possible.

So... I did a random 10-pull (just because) few days ago and managed to get another copy of Shorekeeper... Yes, I won the 50/50 lol, and now she's S2! I did want to get her so it's fine (my Shorekeeper team has gotten a bit stronger because her S2 gave 40% ATK buff) but I wasn't expecting it to be early?! (after 8 times getting them around 70 *sigh* I was really not hopeful). 

Probably should've used that luck for Iuno's but oh well~ I'm fine with winning or losing 50/50 for Iuno's banner. If I win, yay for my Augusta I guess but losing means I'll keep the guarantee for Qiuyuan :P... Well, there's also the possibility that it will go near 70 again.. so that means no pulling until Qiuyuan, maybe? (The thing is I also have interest in Galbrena but my priority is male resonators XD. It's unfortunate that Iuno and her [banners] are running back-to-back... good news is I usually have my alternate accounts pull for the ones I can't in my main account so I still get to experience their gameplay)

The new area has thriller/horror vibes, I love it! And we get another dinosaur-type echo (which looks like a Carnotaurus IMO) - Corrosaurus~ 

And the lore at the area is so good... there's a few more I haven't done but damn!

This one got me crying:

It's always the TD/echo-related ones that got me. This was a simple quest but the impact was deep enough to hurt my heart... it's that Imperator over Phrolova thing all over again. Don't get me wrong, I [kind of] like Phrolova's gameplay so I'm okay with her (I do think she's a bit chuunibyou so there's that) but the whole sadness "tragedy" is so overrated... I can't even take anyone who thinks it's very deep seriously (especially when they vehemently gets mad with Rover for "forgetting". LOL).

Although, I guess I can share my, ermmm, failure recently XD. Don't worry, it's still birthday-related. Had a birthday eve lunch outside at City Malls' Sushi King... honestly I've been missing eating kaiten sushi so finally had the courage(?) to do so this year. Yeah it's just the usual eating lunch stuff but... I made a mistake not double-checking our order (you do it from a tab/pad on the table) and we ended up with three bento boxes instead of only one XD. Damn, no wonder it (they?) arrived so late! Fortunately, packing them is an option... it would be more hassle for them but that's the only best option. I ended up eating them for yesterday's dinner and today's lunch. Nothing's wasted :)

Honestly though... the best thing about 2.5 for me is the echo management feature. It really makes echo-farming easier. Although I can't really do much of it anyway because I'm near the 3000 limit lol. What I need is echo xp...

The new main story was... fine, I guess. I've seen a bit of the discourse(?). Not much really because most that I saw were just complaining about Rover and I, a Rover main, will not waste my time with those XD. One of the things I see is the promise thing? Like, I doubt you remember all your promises like damn (who are you to judge :P)... it looks more like them getting mad at having their Waifu killed. (By the way, I loved that. I loved that they go there. And it doesn't look like a permanent one too, so I don't get all the sadness lol, there's definitely something there where they can bring her back... her being half-human should have been a good clue) 

I do like how they handle being in an antagonist's shoes though. Makes me excited for the other Fractsidus resonators. 

It's kind of funny though because I have a quite different reaction to Phrolova's story. I was also like Rover, I don't really believe her at the start but the situation made it necessary for them to work together despite all that. I guess I'm more on the cold side because I understand Phrolova's motivation but I'm acting like "Okay, next!" XD (Honestly? I've seen enough interesting antagonists through reading books/manga/manhwa and watching stuff my whole life so... she's not that special). I also don't really get the sadness after that (probably because I kind of "spoil" myself immediately after it ended)... I'm more sad about Imperator :( which I guess not many will care to be sad about because Imperator isn't a woman

The main story, at this point, is making me wonder about Rover though. Is it regression? Or reincarnation? Another thing to think about is if she did something related to the antagonists (Fractsidus for now). Can't help thinking she might have tried getting info/knowledge/data from the other side considering the conversation she had with Cartethyia at the end of 2.2's main story quest --- I look forward to seeing such twists in the future. 

Tried using the "Same Day Delivery" shipping option on Shopee some time ago... and I should've guessed it, but it's actually just ShopeeFood rider getting your stuff and delivering them to you. Which is a fine alternative really but the problem is I never used ShopeeFood before so apparently the address they see(?) is different from the shipping address I always use? You have to pin and point on a map and adjust as needed. "Okay, fine, I'll just do this one time" was what I thought at that time but today I realised editing that somehow(?!) affected my shipping address...??? Why the heck would that happen??? It's a miracle that my stuff actually arrived! Usually, the delivery people always complain the address doesn't exist at the postcode region they went to. I edited the shipping address again but I have a feeling if I use the same day option again the same thing will happen again😑 

Unfortunately, it's just like my post in May. I always find myself waking up with sweaty shirt. There were rainy and windy days, sure, but very few.

I guess this one complaint is the only one that ends happily (for now?). Early to mid July (ooh there's a post), there were days we either get low pressure water or no water at all. And then last week, the water suddenly have higher pressure than the usual. We don't even have to use the water tank during the day. Then I saw from Reddit (lol) that it's most probably because we're finally getting more water... which explains the whole disruptions we've been having this month. We are actually lucky though. Some places have it worse, their water is muddy...

Barely started the new main story quest so I'm trying to avoid seeing spoilers on Reddit & Youtube. I was trying to get into the story last night but our cat decided to climb on the roof (second floor level, not the top) and couldn't get down. He was coaxed down several times from below/top of ladder but he still refused to go down.  Like, seriously... had to go through the mess in my room to get him in through my room windows. I very much dislike this method because my room windows I basically off-limits for years... I haven't open them much because they are hard to open and I don't want cats in my room because I get the itches. Which was what I exactly get from last night. Oooof... so obviously, I'm still annoyed even after waking up today. Doesn't help that today is hot and hazy... Cat is currently not allowed to go outside anymore because what's the point if you're just going to get "locked out" at awkward heights?                       

Finally done with completing everything with stress level 37 for my main account...! 

Fleurdelys and Lorelei took the most time (including retries) to beat. Fleurdelys was okay and kind of fun really (for some reason I was dodging so well against her lol)... just needed more patience because she's shielded. Lorelei though... very, very annoying! I spent the last moments almost keyboard/mouse-smashing because her bubbles made everything hard to see. I hate getting stun-locked by them. It really made me hate fighting her more now. Though this gave me an idea: I guess I can try this Brant-Jinhsi-Shorekeeper team for the hologram version later?

It was recommended to use the Aero Erosion team for Lorelei but my team is so new their echoes are not at their best... and I'm not used to their gameplay yet. I did use Cartethyia & Ciaccona for the Fallacy fight (which went fine) so yeah, in the end it goes back to "Lorelei is annoying to fight" :P

Of course, Brant is the MVP again for the event. His shields were very helpful. And he heals and deals big damage. I really need to get more copies of him in the future! 

Damn!  I kept forgetting to publish this post... I guess I was waiting for my Fenn account to get Lupa's signature weapon... and that only happened yesterday.

And since that update is from a week ago, yes.. I finished maxing out all Ciaccona's skills. Currently need two more weeks to max out Lupa's. I tried pulling for her weapon in my main account but no luck so far. I think she'll be stuck with borrowing between Calcharo, Jiyan & Jinhsi's weapon for now. By the way, I pulled another Static Mist for Ciaccona. It's so hard sharing weapons in Whimpering Wastes (WhiWa) because you need two teams... yeah I could've borrowed Carlotta's but sometimes what I need is a weapon with crit rate and ER *sigh*...  

WhiWa suddenly became hard again that I had to bring out my Brant-Changli-Lupa team to get triple-S. Kind of amazed with how Lupa (even though she's a bit unbuilt at that time) buffs the team. Fortunately she's been fun to play with so far, so it doesn't matter if I like her or not.

Whoa it's pretty much Phrolova's patch, huh XD.. And we'll be getting rerun banners for Roccia, Brant & Cantarella... which means I'm screwed lol. So, maybe I'm skipping the convenes after all XD...?

I do want another copy of Brant but at the same time I also want to pull for Phrolova & Roccia...? I probably won't be as lucky as current patch so I'll have to wait and see. Some of my accounts can finally pull for Brant's signature weapons again (after failing to get it lol)

And the QoL updates seem pretty good next patch! I can't wait to use the echo management thing.

Anyway~ Received these books yesterday:

Not much to say really... Went to the Muji store which honestly I didn't know existed until this week (there's also a branch at Imago). I'm just four months late XD. Although it's more like me checking out their little stationery corner and the organizer boxes section. 

Went to my usual go-to places including Popular Bookstore. Was pleasantly surprised to find Uketsu's "Strange Pictures" in stock (there were three copies on the shelf). I wanted to get the one with the UK version cover but unfortunately it's out-of-stock at Kino... and on Shopee it's basically selling like hot cakes. It's so funny to see the books went out of stock the next day on Shopee (two shops had a few the day before). I guess checking physical stores is an option too next time (duh! XD).

Yup, very much still kind of in a reading slump... which I've embraced fully(?) as mood reading. Like, it's not I stopped reading completely... I still read just not much as before. It's almost like a dormant period of some sort lol - everything is happening in slow motion XD

Unfortunately (and humorously, I must add), the reading situation makes my journey of reading books at the place I pick flowers more noticeable. It probably didn't help that the first book I finished this year is "The Giant Bathroom Reader" lol (mentioned in a post from October 2023). Honestly, that's a book that really lives up to its title. It's full of short and brief paragraphs... and most of the time with gory and gross details, definitely not something you want to read while eating a meal. 

Reading ≠ Buying Books
It's kind of hard to describe but nowadays I'm very sceptic and pessimistic of books with nice covers and synopses. But at the same time, if it's something I do have interest in, I just want to get it so that I have it ready when I want to read it. Definitely not a healthy way to do it but I do more side-eyeing these days so it balances out in the end...?

Honestly, I've been skipping more and more reading videos recently due to my reading slump/mood. If I don't skip, then they'll be videos I put on the background (and it remains uncertain if I'm able to listen to it properly or not). Most of the time I became sceptic and think "Was it really good though?". Sometimes books hauls are just another yapfest - I wish some of them just skip the synopses (or do a more brief synopsis)... Also, I still have problems with voices (just like back in February) so I usually DNF those videos as soon as I feel irritated. 

It should be obvious at this point that the future is dim XD. I probably will focus more on series that I do love and a few of the ones I'm interested in (yeah, reading is slumping but curiosity stays on, totally unrelated). Reading will be slow and sporadic.

I barely managed to get Roccia's signature weapon last patch *big, long sigh*. Now she doesn't have to borrow Xiangli Yao's weapon anymore. I lost 50/50 for Zhezhi's during the Anniversary banner so I will use the guaranteed pull for Lupa since this account has both Brant and Changli (with their signature weapons). Hopefully I could get Lupa's weapon too.

Wasn't able to get Brant's signature weapon again lol but this account manage to get Jiyan haha... I've started building Mortefi since there are so many resonators that use mainly heavy attacks in the account.

Tried getting Cartethyia (because why not) but lost the 50/50 to Verina, off all people lol. Though it's kind of a win for this account because it was Verina-less before. The account has Shorekeeper though so it's fine.. just a bit hard to do Tower of Adversity.

Well, I guess that's a bit of progress since the last time I posted about it. Had a couple of near wins (like 1mm HP bar left, seriously!) for Lorelei but no dice. I'll be back for Hecate after I get used to using the Carlotta-Zhezhi-Shorekeeper team. Hopefully at that time I could use them for the dragon too. Kelpie can wait for like much later lol

The place is based on Sparta (I think? ...seeing that the leader is called Ephor) but I saw some mention of Rome too (Septimont is called Seven Hills in the JP version, plus the gladiator thing) so I guess it's inspired by both Greek & Roman civilizations? Septimont has a different culture compared to Ragunna. I've been doing some exploring around and there are some disturbing and sad lore... It's not fun getting to know about those :( 

BUT I must say: like usual, I enjoy doing the exploration quests! Especially the Scourgewing one... the lore is delicious~! It's sad to think that some people probably just skip the exploration quest's story because it's not voiced. Well, at least now I know if someone said there's no lore in WuWa, they most probably is a skipper. [There's nothing wrong with skipping but I usually only do that after I read the whole thing because I'm kind of a perfectionist(?), I need to know everything... I still read/fast-read the whole thing in my third playthrough/account] 

Oh yeah one more thing, the TDs here are more horrifying-looking. There's the Kerasaur that looks like Komodo dragon... then there are couple more human-shaped ones (which obviously aren't friends XD) that look like they came from horror movies. I do like that Septimont has more variants for drakes here though.

The in-game game Peak of Prestige is surprisingly fun lol.. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I do now. I'm not very good at it though (I keep going back to my Feilian deck set lol) but I won enough rewards to get by. 

Also it's funny that I got called out by the NPC you meet to start this event XD

Yeah... so... I'm fortunate(?) enough to not want them XD. I will consider it though if it's for male resonators or my Rover. Yep, and just to make it clear, you have a husbando-lover/wanter here that also happens to be a Rover main. Which might sound like a weird combination but Rover (my lovely, adorable Rover) is one of the main reasons I'm still playing the game :D. It's kind of an awkward point of view and I'm grateful that they care enough for the main character (I think Rover is one of the reasons echo presets exist this early), but honestly? Rover mains are probably the ones having constant fun in every patch XD

And with that said, I am obsessed with getting stuff that my Rover can "wear" so echo aspects is the way for me~
