Pick-A-New-Book Jar
I'm fresh from watching the end of "Lost in Space"... Oh gosh this show...
Remember when I say I "sympathise with a lot of robot/cyborg/half-robot/AI/anything-similar characters"? While watching this, I kept wishing that the robot(s) will be okay (screw the humans!, right?). Yeah, fine, my impression on the humans do improve in the latest season (they are just acting like humans after all) but haaah... Robot was giving me "Mass Effect 3" vibes and when it did happen, I cried. *big sigh*
I don't want to think too deep on the themes but if you think of how certain humans did their colonisation... activities in the past, it can go negatively... and I was really hoping they don't go that way. The robots race(species?) really grew on me... like I don't want to see them serve under the humans. That would just be repeating history, no? Fortunately, it - I guess this is a minor spoiler - went okay.
Wow... now I'm itching to continue playing Mass Effect 2 again... and Mass Effect Andromeda, for a similar theme. Then maybe read some space opera books that I have in my bookshelf now.

Woke up early today. It rained few hours later. The coldness made it a perfect day to watch some TV. Spent the whole morning watching "Lost in Space" until the end. Yes, my eyes will not feel good today (due to those tears) but I think it's a nice enough day to pick another new book to read. I haven't started "The Color Purple" yet but that's okay.
No hopes or wishes etc.. I'm just going to pull one title from the jar.
*pulls*
Lol how am I getting these recently purchased ones? So.. it's one of the books I received last month. Kurt Vonnegut's "Hocus Pocus". I hope this is good as the first book I'm reading from him because... I never read his works before.
