Yeshh! My first post on the first day of September 2006!
firstly...
I would like thank my friends & cousins for remembering my birthday & wishing me "Happy Birthday"... (SMSes & Friendster Testimonials).. & also Casandra (whom I had not been in touch for more than 3 years) who called me just a few minutes ago to say "Happy Birthday"..

& also others that wished me after I posted this..

hontou ni.. arigatou gozaimashita..

I've always love FridayS and today is a even more special day for me. It's MY 18th BIRTHDAY!

My birthday present? This fx-991ES Casio Scientific Calculator! (Closeup)
Bought it at Popular, Centre Point yesterday for RM 63.90...

Okay. I know. I'm weird... Why do I want a calculator for my birthday anyway? (I've got plenty of them ^_^).. haha..but I have my reasons. ~ahaha~ I like its "natural textbook display" feature. It's so natural.. (& cool!)

About school...
I think I should stop talking about my classmates cos if they found out about this blog, I'm doomed.

I was so glad to know that I still have my touch in art. (^^)
Our class monitor wanted us to prepare some article/decoration/etc before the 1-week holiday to merdeka-ise our classroom. I find it bothersome at first cos I'm still lack of confidence in art after the black years of 2004/05. But last Friday I managed to gather enough courage to persuade myself to start drawing. I drew portraits of the previous 4 prime ministers of Malaysia. Oh well, I know it's not that perfect but I did it. I'm starting to feel confident once again to paint & draw once more...

haha.. It surprises me at times that I [could] have a good balance of use of my right side & the left side of the brain. (lol.. yah yah, I know what you're thinking... oh come on.. it's my birthday today - please give me space to brag...)

You Are 45% Left Brained, 55% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.

Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.

If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.

Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.

Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.

If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.

Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

Are You Right or Left Brained?

Yes. That's it. I'm 55% artist & 45% mathematician.

To be honest, I'm not good at memorising things (except for things I like).. I've always heard that you can excel Maths easily as long as you memorise the formulas. But is it really true? Isn't it important to understand too? I can only recall the formulas when I encounter maths problems.. is it bad?

Then, being no good in memorising, am I making a brilliant choice by taking BIO? I never pass my tests/exams when I was in F4(only once) & F5.. & I got C5 for SPM.. *hmmm*

Your past results/successes/failures/whatever doesn't really reflect what you get & be in the future. This thought suddenly occurs me after last Wednesday. That day, I was able to solve a Maths question from the Longman book which the whole class (including teacher) can't find the answer. Then, a friend approached me & asked how did I do it & go on asking about my Add Maths (SPM) results.. She's confused about why it's hard for her although she got A for her Add Maths (SPM/ I got B)... My answer was, "It depends on the person." Different people have different ways of thinking, isn't it? I believe anyone can solve Maths Problems but before that, they have to think Math-ish first...

So maybe I'll still have a chance for my BIO lah, kan?

fin.
