Reading
I finished "The Mum Who'd Had Enough" around midnight. Honestly, the few chapters near the end made me cry a bit (especially the son's POV chapter), but I'm pretty sure that's just me being hormotional XD. It ended peacefully that I couldn't really get mad at it. I still think it's too long though... the feeling is like when you get stuck listening to a stranger's life story, of which most of the details you prefer not to know because they're too personal, and you end up smiling awkwardly until the end.
It's not cringe, but the smile I imagined in my head last night was this:
😬
....so that's done and dusted. As of today, my small goal this month is complete!
So early!
At this point, it sounds like I finish reading my physical books just so that I can focus on web novels... which might be partially true, actually. LOL
It's funny though... I was just browsing some preloved books on Shopee this afternoon. There are some books I'm interested in reading at this moment. Hmm... how would that feel, huh. Reading something just because the topic is something you're interested in at that moment... Like instantly jumping into [reading] books on those topics.
Anyway, they do say reading and buying books are two different things. I can still want to buy books even if I'm in a physical book reading slump~
