Thoughts I'm going to throw here:
SPM results! *gasps for air*
Argghh... I can't take it any much longer! It's February & the day I will have to count my A's (if THERE are any...*sigh* maybe I'll end up counting my B, C, D, E.....or is it F?? What if a G [gagal~fail] >_<) is getting NEARER... That's one reason I didn't blog much in Jan 2006...thinking much about SPM results~ ....to come to school & get your SPM result.. to face baka teachers who had been a 'GREAT' help 'teaching' me for the past 2 years(2004-2005)... "I can't do it but I have to"...that's what had been dwelling in my mind till now..
*BIG SIGH*
Language problems
With regards to language(s), I always have these 3 major problems.
[1] If I understand a language, my understanding level will be like... well, ummphh... I know more than the basic knowledge but never reached the advanced/expert level.. it's always average..
[2] If I'm into a language (doing all the readings, looking up dictionaries, pronouncing...bla..bla), other language that I'm used to already will be 'disturbed'. Like once, in Form 3... I was very much immersed to English Language (thanks to Phoenix's translations of Alec's news... I'd learnt a lot of new words).. always look up for words I'm not familiar with in the dictionary.. somewhat, I became better at finding the right words for my english essays. & when it came to malay essays... I often find myself forgetting important words & words I should have known/familiarised with... & a few days ago, I went to Bestmart with my parents & my mum was looking at some furnitures & embroidery works from China. She asked the seller for the price of one of the embroidery works & apparently he is from China so malay or english is a no-no for him.. so well, my mum looked at me & I gave her (& him) a blurred look. I didn't understand what he was saying! Oh, well, not really.. but it took me a long time to interpret.. hua, zhen de heng tiu lian! At that time in my head I was thinking about numbers in japanese!
[3] Third major problem: If I understand a language, doesn't mean I can converse in that language. This is the worst problem I have. The most obvious problem I have with my English Language. I can understand more than other ppl in school, yet I was the most 'quiet' one! *cries* There are days where I hope I'm trapped in an island with ppl who do not speak my language (malay). [haha.. this reminds me of Robinson Crusoe & Friday]
Generally, language involves writing, reading, conversing & understanding. I'm doing well with the understanding & writing part but not the conversing part.
Let's see... I'm 'trained' with Malay language since little... with Malay I know how to write (not that difficult ma), understand (the baku version, not the fully-corrupted version) & converse.. the same goes to English except the converse part..
Dusun~~only understanding part [pathetic isn't? I'm a Dusun girl, yet I don't know how to converse in it.. hey, at least I'll know if they are talking bad about me ;P ]...
Chinese (studied by me by my own efforts with no help from teachers)...understanding~ok-lah, average... reading~I'm OK with it as long as the words used is not too complicated.. writing~a bit (doesn't really matter.. converse~NO!
So far, for Japanese~ ah still learning!
Lastly,
Some Endings...
I've finished some Jdoramas recently so here's my brief opinion on it. (I finished some earlier but don't have the mood to blog about it.)
:: dorama title [my rating] ::
Keizoku [3.5/5]--- Frankly, other that the main character, Shibata Jun, I can't say I really enjoy this dorama (compared to other detective doramas). It's somewhat dark & confusing. I don't quite like Mayama in the series but I like his character in the special dorama (Phantom) & movie (Beautiful Dreamer) which is more funny. & I kept comparing it with Trick (although Keizoku was made before Trick).. both doramas have the same directors, so I'm not really surprised to see the same style & elements... Now it seem to me,Trick was like an enhanced (somewhat better) version of Keizoku. They have similar cases, Shibata always involved the word 'trick' in her explanations for the unsolved cases, Shibata & Yamada is almost similar... We have: Yabe in the special & movie, Ishihara in the special (I think that's him..), Mayama's urinating scene (think of Ueda please...~_^)... some I can't recall right now... And what happened in the end of the movie was really confusing (tell me if you understand). Anyways, it's still watchable esp if you like detective doramas (If you've watched the 11-eps series & don't like it, just go on & watch the special & movie cos it was really funny)
Nobuta wo Produce [4.8/5]--- Where did the 0.2 go? They didn't make Akira & Nobuta together (or at least give some hint that Nobuta likes him) so that's where the 0.2 went. I tried making my mum watch this but she said she's tired of school doramas (she watched Gokusen with me).. But actually, this dorama is different, although it's setting is at school, in my humble opinion, it's more of a friendship dorama (platonic friendship) which makes it unique & different. Shuji reminds me of a [childhood] friend of mine in school.. like that thinking of winning the 'games' in everyday life, having so many masks put on your face.. she really similar to Shuji (..chotto.. then that means I'm [her?] Akira then? cos most of the time I can see through her like Akira... AKIRA SHOCK!)... About the ending: LOL...it really shocked me seeing Akira at Shuji's new school, I thought it was only an illusion. But it's really him (& kakkoi as usual... :P).. I don't quite like the idea of them being separated but it's Nobuta's wish so...I'm going to accept as what it is. Having Akira & Shuji in the same school was not a bad idea.
Hana Yori Dango [4/5]--- I was waiting for this last year (didn't pay much attention to Nobuta) & this proved to be a very compact version (yet good) of the manga itself. I never read the manga fully but I know there are some scenes in the manga not included in the live-action version. Some ardent fans of the manga are not happy with it, but seeing it from the entertainment point of view, one can't deny that the production/filming unit made a great job for this. What attracted me most was MatsuJun & Oguri Shun's performance in this dorama. MatsuJun's Tsukasa (aka Dao Ming Si) was IMO more lively than Jerry Yan's. I like Tsukasa & I like both actor's portrayal but MatsuJun's did well with the part of giving appropriate expressions which Jerry somewhat lack of. The same goes to Oguri Shun's Hanazawa Rui (aka Hua Ze Lei). I never liked Vic Chou's Hua Ze Lei in Meteor Garden (although I find him likeable in the second Meteor Garden)..& I was always rooting for Jerry's Dao Ming Si but when it came to Hana Yori Dango.. it's quite hard to choose which one to root for.. About the ending: I actually cried watching the last episode! haha.. esp the part where Tsukasa leaving her behind. Addendum: *I like Nobuta wo Produce more than Hana Yori Dango because the NWP's plot seems thicker & new (to me) than HYD * I really think there should be a Special Dorama for both of this dorama...*hoping*
Engine [3.8/5]--- The chemistry between Jiro & Tomomi-sensei was lacking something, but I like that bit of romance in the last eps. I never expect he will lose the race! And the photo-taking part was really funny!
Dragon Sakura @ Dragon Zakura [4/5]--- As the eng soft subs are available at D-addicts, I decided to finish watching this while waiting for PBFansub's hardsubbed version (Eps 6 is out!)... I'm a bit sad of the ending cos it's not like what I've expected...Can't believe Hideki & Maki-chan didn't made to Todai... (I'd noticed Yuusuke's Akira-ness after he got his results! kawaii!)
That's all, I think. Can't think anymore~
