Insects Collection
It seems that we could finish collecting insects before school holidays! I hope so, because it's very bothersome to do the project during holidays where I can use the time catching insects to study (finish reading all the syllabus & do exercises!).
We still have to preserve 25 plants-lah. But that's MORE easily done than insects.
& I admit that PRESERVING INSECT is fun. yeah, I know it seems cruel... but the good thing is, I started to pay close attention to nature. I realise that there's so many unique insects around us. The bad thing is, I'm good at spotting/finding them but don't have enough guts to catch them.
WHY NOT?
Because I focused more on studying BIO lately (& also most of my classmates), we were very anxious about our final exam marks.
What I can say about mine: .............Yokatta desu... I'm REALLY GLAD that I passed. (I failed last BIO monthly test. & I never passed BIO papers in f4/f5.)
Marks for Paper 1 & Paper 2 are calculated separately. Passing mark is 40(/60) for paper 2. I can't remember Paper 1's..20 or 30?... Anyway, I got 37/50 for Paper 1 & 47/60 100 for Paper 2.. so for Paper 1 - it's 74%,
It was an ugly situation when the BIO teacher returned our papers. He, again, stressed out about re-thinking.
"Think carefully whether you still want to do this (BIO, form 6). If you think it's difficult right now, don't think it's going to be easier in the future. It will be MORE difficult later. So if your Maths & other science subjects are... then you should think again."
That was yesterday. Today, he had a little talk with a friend of mine, Ren-chan. He was her teacher back then in f4/f5 - & he told her that her results were never good that she should "re-think".
How tragic.
I guess I rarely see a decent teacher in Malaysia (well, at least in Sabah.). Or is it there's none of such teachers ever exist in M'sia. Or it's just sth every Form 6 teachers have (funnily, form 4/5 teachers also have this). Pathetic.
I thought teachers should expose their students to the world of possibilities. Keep telling their students that it's not impossible to do this or that. Although there might be setbacks & unfortunate events, teachers should still "let" their students know that there's "light" in everything. That when you fail, doesn't mean you fail throughout your life. *sigh* maybe teachers nowadays have lost hopes in their students. Unless they prove to that teacher that they are a "genius" then only the teachers want to help them. Why should it be like that?
Teachers do not think of their students as their own children. Why should they? They are not related to each other. But having teachers thinking that way means having teachers who do not care about their students welfare. & again, why should they? They are not related.
What an ugly reality.
I feel hurt with [teachers of] such manners. My other friends too. Some of them even seem to start re-thinking whether to drop Form 6 or not. I told her no. "If you want to re-think, re-think a way to improve your results & NOT about dropping f6."
I think a teacher could never be liked as a person. I personally like teachers who CAN teach & have a positive attitude/manner.
