Rainy day...

25 pages daily has been an okay amount these few days. It might be less [again] in the future but let's not dwell on that today XD

One of the few things that doesn't bore me nowadays: John Wolfe and his wife Kimmy's playthrough of "Zero Time Dilemma". It took them a few years :P... (& I already finished it because I was curious... got interested in the games because of them) but better late than never~! It's fun watching/listening to their reactions and comments! Honestly, it's making me want to return to the game (but first, I need to play the first two games). I'm waiting for them to be on sale on Steam (or until I'm desperate to play it, since it does has a bundle deal)... Well, I can replay "AI: The Somnium Files" and play the sequel next while I wait...

Funny story. I was doing my ME3 multiplayer challenges last night and I somehow got dropped into a gold match (T_T) even though I was looking for a bronze match. I was playing as Volus Adept so... I was definitely not prepared for the match. Died a lot. Could've left but chose to stay. Learnt a lot from the other two players.

This is not the first time it happened but *haaaaah* the element of surprise always catch me off guard. It's really scary when you are underprepared.

Anyway... *more game talk :P* I'm currently replaying "AI: The Somnium Files" (can't believe that was two years ago!) before I play the new one. As usual, I don't remember much (because my memory is crap *sigh*) so it's almost like I'm playing for the first time again! It might be interesting going through the story [again] while knowing all the major spoilers...

This paper is not "Yellow"

It's orange :P

I didn't forget about this jar XD

When was the last time I use this? *checks labels* Last September. And it was about the colour red.

Unfortunately(?), I got another colour today haha.

Yellow??? What can I talk about that is related to yellow?

In general, not one of my favourite colours.
Yellow (esp the neon ones) is one of my favourite colours for highlighter pens.
I [still] want the yellow jacket/coat Mizuki wears in "AI: The Somnium Files".
I don't like to eat egg yolk. I can eat it fine as an omelette and hard-boiled egg. I especially don't like the runny ones, fried or boiled. (although I've learnt to appreciate the taste of soft-boiled eggs in ramen. Only in ramen!)
I like my ginger tea unsweetened (or less sweet). So ginger tea bags without sugar is the way to go! I wish they sell that locally instead of the overly-sweet powdered version. For some reason, I'm not fond of using the fresh ones 'cos it reminds me of savoury soups and chicken rice lol
Lemon juice sometimes irritates my throat so I don't think of that first when I have a sore throat. My mother adds lemon juice to her coconut water, it's tastier that way, according to her. I never tried it but I assume it's like when you drink those isotonic drinks? (a lemon-flavoured 100plus exists/existed, I think).
I love naturally sweet pineapple. I'm not a fan of pineapple in savoury dishes (like pineapple chicken) BUT I love pineapple on pizza. There, I said it.
Yesterday on Shopee: I looked for coloured pencil leads. Wished it existed when I was still attending school lol but we have them now, and yellow is one of the colour I found available!
Since the [digital] folder logo is yellow: Remember the software I mentioned in a post before? Yeah, can't use it properly now. Don't know if it's because of recent windows updates or something else... Well, it's expected I guess since Windows 10 isn't supposed to be able to run this software but... I'm super sad about it. It was such a useful software too...
Update on Yellow-Spined Books: Already read "All the Feels" last February. Planned to read "Journey Under the Midnight Sun" soon (I just decided this just now lol)

Oooh... I actually managed to write 1o things lol

This was fun!
I almost forgot that I need to publish this before midnight :P

FuruBa Rant(?)

Haven't exactly finished Furuba S2 today but at least I have 2 or 3 episodes left... I said before that S1 was "purifying" but S2 is... emotionally-draining. *HAAAH* This is not- I don't think you should marathon this anime (unless you don't care about the story and characters' development). And it's not something I'll want to watch again in, maybe, 2-3 years time. It's more like a once a decade thing. At least, that's what I think :\

...but maybe that's just me. I'm very erm... sensitive(?) with family-themed stories. Furuba has it all, the best and worst parents... [ahh that might be why I love "AI: The Somnium Files" too... the family theme...]... still very much full of hate for that character. It made me think that they were created so that you won't hate the other characters (especially the main ones...) I probably would have hate Tohru (don't ask why... fortunately, it never reached that level though so it's fine :D...) if I'm not too busy hating this character. They are the character you will choose to hate as a symbol... Hate Yuki? Hate that person instead. It's easier. Hate Kyo? This way... Just hate that person instead.

LOOOL this post is full of the word "hate"...

Not really a fan of not capitalising the first letter but today's post is dedicated to one of my favourite games that loves using A and I that way :P [I'm not rigid about this BTW, I almost always don't use it in messages.. it's one of those things where you don't accept it but you still do it just because]

Just when I was about to go to sleep, I decided to open the Shopee app and window-shopped for bookmarks. I keep telling myself that I don't need more but that doesn't stop me from "looking". Just looking. Yeah, that's the battle I fought before finally falling asleep.

ANYWAY. Today, I just knew that "AI: The Somnium Files" have a sequel (nirvanA Initiative) coming out next year. I'm 3 months late lol... It will feature Mizuki (it seems, from the trailer). Again, the case this time reminds me of the ones in "Shin Hayarigami" (didn't play it - well, I did play the one mobile version one - but I mainly watched Gab's playthroughs). Interestingly similar but still different story.

Games - Ooh... Mention of "AI: The Somnium Files". Might want to play that again later. MS2 Insanity progress... Let me just put this here again:

SAVE ALWAYS, ALL YOU COMMANDER SHEPARDS OUT THERE.

I do save frequently after doing a new Insanity playthrough although I haven't touch the game for months lol. The last thing I remember is being on Omega to recruit Mordin and Garrus.

Mizuki's yellow jacket. I tried looking for something similar on Ravelry but found nothing. Maybe I can just try knitting without a pattern? Like try to make one myself. Will think about it again later. I haven't even finish my 2nd haramaki project.

"Year's Best SF15" - I still have this weird reading mood with short stories nowadays. I didn't really enjoy reading TSGS #1 recently. Not talking about the stories. More about the short stories reading experience. The stories are very short there and I still find it a chore to finish.

Dictionary - I mentioned wanting to buy a Chinese dictionary. It hasn't happen yet.

Sleep - Still messed up. I try not to sacrifice sleep for books but sometimes it's hard to avoid. After doing that last spurt (as the Japanase like to call it) at reading my 13 books list, I'm definitely not doing that again. Zombie mode went on for few days after that.

I never re-install Tumblr apps on my phones after that. Facebook ads still appear but I learn to tolerate them. Still salty about the part where I don't use Facebook but have to face ads from them (useless ad settings!). Just remember to factory-reset your hand-me-down phones before adding your accounts.

The day I realised (like really, really realised) I might not like certain writing styles. What people like to read might not be something I like. I learnt that I'm actually quite picky about the books I read. I have no time to waste on badly-written books so I have to choose wisely.

Libraries - Used u-pustaka quite often. Most of the time is just renewing the same book every week though XD..

Local library - Don't want to go out just to register for membership so.. I haven't done that. I still wish you can register online.

I actually stopped using Toby for Chrome. My bookmarks are now syncronized across all devices. I like that but I still need to tidy up my bookmarks.

I don't use the metal book holder that often but they are very useful for thick books. It actually hurt my hands to hold "Six Four" and "Catch-22" long while reading. Sometimes I use the book holder for non-thick books too - I can see the computer screen while reading XD

Frankenstein. Something random I want to mention. I'm actually glad I finished reading this. When I see "Frankenstein" on sale on Bookxcess or BBW, I'm like "Nope, don't want that again." I'm open to watching movies/TV series adaptation though.

Unfortunately, arty weekend went the way I don't want it to go. The thing is, I need space to create art and I don't always have it. Sounds like an excuse but I'm going to stick with that reason.

Trying to finish more books (at least one) in my reading list because I want to move on to mystery-themed books. If I have more book affairs, I'll just end up not finishing any of them.
Knitting leg warmers (it's for practice but I want to make something usable upon completion). Had to unravel a bit yesterday because I found a hole and an extra stitch.

I still think of "AI: The Somnium Files" these days.

And recently, more about Mizuki's yellow jacket/coat. I don't know why.. maybe I like the design or something but I want it. Maybe a knitted cardigan version of it? Haaah.. my knitting skills are still far from being able to knit something that big and complicated. What about the pattern? I don't even know if it's possible to knit that.

I finally finished "AI: The Somnium Files". Whoa. Kinda expected that but couldn't think of the reason and how. I love it despite being indifferent towards some of the major characters (bordering on dislike for one of them *sigh*). Like, I DON'T REALLY CARE about these characters (I kept thinking 「どうでもいい」「で?」)... but I need them for the endings that explain stuff. I'm not sure if I'm just irritated by the character or I just don't like their voice (I chose japanese audio). Anyway. Love the story, characters (except those I don't), music &... [eye] puns! I'm a sucker for puns so.. yeah, accept & live with that fact, thank you. Also, my eyes hurt the next day because some scenes made me shed tears.

At the end, I'm a bit confused about how to feel... ("What do I do with this feeling?").. I understand the story but since my favourite ending is Mizuki's, I'm like uuhh.. this is confusing lol

Now I suddenly have the urge to play "Zero Escape: The Nonary Games"... although I'm eyeing "Steins;Gate" too... (the anime messed up my brain lol)

First post of 2021!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! *YES I'M SHOUTING*

Ooh. I'm here again. Haha. So tempted to list down what I want to do this year... but I won't do it here! It has become something like a jinx to me. Of course, it doesn't happen always but whenever I do that [publicly], I ended up not doing it. Sometimes I have this habit of doing the opposite thing of what people tell me... and that part of me is very troublesome. :P

I can talk about things I already started doing though so...

Games.
🌠 Recently started playing "AI: The Somnium Files" and I'm enjoying it so far. I mean, it's mystery. An almost-sure word that can bait me into anything.
🌠 Also... I finally gave in to restarting "Mass Effect 2" (Insanity Mode) - SAVE ALWAYS, ALL YOU COMMANDER SHEPARDS OUT THERE. ~~Why did I even attempt to do the Overlord DLC at this level?!~~ Sigh. I just made a new character (based on previous ME1 character) so I can lower the mode of the abandoned one later.

Anime.
🌠 Been watching slice-of-life ones. Like "Yuru Camp" (even though I'm not a fan of camping lol). I'm also re-watching "Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun". Just finished "A3!" last week which I surprisingly enjoyed watching...?
🌠 I'm struggling to finish "Talentless Nana" because I'm so annoyed with the main character. Like capital letters ANNOYED. Seriously. I wonder if it's even called watching anymore if I just FF her scenes all the time. ~~Damn it, why Kyoya has to be a bit interesting~~!
