I just finished reading "Falling Leaves". I don't remember how I felt reading it when I was younger. But reading at this age, over ten years later, I find that I'm angrier at the parents more than before. As I'm older today (to understand things), I can't help thinking this last night, "Such terrible parents!" But since this is non-fiction, I don't feel right saying that about other people's very real family. Let's leave it there for now.
So, yesterday (or the day before), I was just over 100 pages and I find the unfairness made me feel angry so I decided to finish it today. I was less angry during the second half of it.
I still think it's a good read after so many years. Bittersweet and inspiring. Found the book at random at the library (judging from the year, probably Sabah State Library?). Then I started buying her books after discovering them for sale at local book shops.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon, I found one of my succulent plants on the floor, with bitten marks.
