It's Not January Yet

Posted in: 2021 posts | Interest: TV | Knit/Crochet Stuff | Netflix | Reading

With all the cleaning and organising I've been doing recently, it feels like the end of the year for me XD. I'm expecting it to be January next month.

Anyway, just some - I guess it's daily now - updates.

Currently...

Reading - I'm back to my 13 books list, starting with George Orwell's Animal Farm/1984 2-in-1 book. I mentioned reading multiple books (with around 250 pages) in a previous post... it kinda went well...? Quite tempted to start a thicker one but at the same time I'm afraid that I'll get bored of it later.

Knitting - Trying another easy pattern (from book) and I finally get to practise increasing and decreasing my stitches. I went back to see the original haramaki pattern that made me want to learn how to knit last year... and I think I can try to knit it now...? Of course, I'll have to do the gauge thing first, estimate how many yarns I need and also practise doing the metamorphosis stitch (luckily, someone made a video for it!). Probably will end up using DPNs again [if it's even possible] because my circular needles are either too short or too long. The long ones are too stiff (its cable is metal) to use the magic loop method. BTW, I haven't finished knitting the other haramaki.

Watching Dramas - Finally finished with "Detention" and I have to say I don't enjoy it as much as I expected. I like the atmosphere of the drama but I feel like it moved too slowly. The pacing is a bit unbalanced, I think? Maybe a movie or lesser episodes will be better? Also, it doesn't help that I find the main character's actress a bit too boring and stiff [in her acting]. I felt the ghost who haunts her more expressive... but.. maybe that's just me and my preferences.
